Is it because mef 2 legacy? Hopefully would be armed on par with fremm.
My post is just for a joke, I don't think that OPV from Denmark that is endorsed by LBP is still on the table.

Budget is the culprit and they are the least priority, Koarmada given red carpet with 16 Ocean going capable Frigates on the high list. Heck even new armor (including artillery for Army corps) and more helicopters (including Attack Helicopters) for Penerbal being postponed. Why Shore based AShM is still funded albeit small because they need more punch to protect critical Naval based.

Well, since the threat of PLAN, PLAAF, CCG and Maritime Militia incursion becoming more apparent especially in Natuna Utara seems like Prabowo is all in with modernizing the Navy, especially with the target of replacing the ageing VS and Fatahillah

we'll see whether between 2022 to 2024 he will refocus on adding AU and AD some new toys since AL have their part taken care of

i can only think SM-2/SM-3, other than that, i don't think there are better product than aster-30.

Most likely either ESSM/VL Mica or Aster 15, i don't really know whether the DOD or Senate would approve SM-2, hopefully our negotiator is good enough in pitching SM-2's approval

Although I understand the budget constraint only allow us to focus on fighter plane, major surface combatant, and submarine, I wonder what we will use to re take (beach assault) any of our islands from 🇨🇳

Yes, but probably not in near future + not in hundreds in number.
It will become a boon for PINDAD if somehow PINDAD can build their tracked amphibious vehicle on time and keep the price low, the marine can buy it in bulk to replace those old PT76 that we have a lot of them (and there is still no replacement), even with some modernization we still need to replace them at some point in the future.

Yeah, about that manufacturer.

Errrr......, i just think with the experience and resource, PINDAD could build such thing as BMP 3.

But again, all just back to customers and bureocracy. Not to mention, this will also come not in near future.

One of my hope is PINDAD capable to build such as Puma / Redback AFV. Although such amphibious one is more favourable.

Lets rewind back then, "bagaimana kabar perkembangan dari Cobra dan Harimau"?

They have plan for tracked amphibious vehicle 2024 and amphibious badak in their roadmap.
