This make me wondering what kind of western AShM using vls?

Not sure if the SSM VLS will be equipped with AShM or LACM, PT PAL didn't give clear explanation about this and they only mentioned about the overall VLS.

Probably for now they are intentionally not mentioning about the AShM, main gun, torpedoes etc and maybe there will be AShM that is launched sideways.

I think they were lazy to distinguish type of the launchers for the public.
It is very obvious they refer to conventional oblique launcher canisters for AShM. Otherwise, one does not need to specify formation of the missile in this way for an actual VLS. Especially when VLS is meant for providing flexible installation, why would they need to mention the weapon payload in this way?

I am telling once again; it is possibly; 4x6 Albatros-CAMM-ER individual launcher unit, 4x8 actual VLS (Slyver - Mk41) and 4x4 Oblique launchers for AShM. This is a viable and doable payload for AH140.

Where do you think they will placed the Albatros vls? Behind the naval gun, or same config like on the iver huitveldt (beside the 32 mk41)?

Possibly 2x6 fits on there, another 2x6 will be fitted on whereabouts of the Slyver-Mk41 like the Iver.

Hello, first post here...

I have a layman question...
Is it possible to fit 48 cells mk.41 on there???
So remove the 2 mk.56 modules, then move 32 mk.41 to the side...
After that install 2 more 8 cells mk.41 modules beside it...
Though I don't know how much the underdeck space available...

If that method possible, then we only need to find place for 1 more 8 cells vls...
Maybe at the 2nd front gun place??? Xp

After what happen with Moskva, I start to think putting so much armament too tightly like that doesn't seems like a good idea afterall.

Only if the placement can be splited into 2 possition, Aft or stern.
Me, preffered Front and mid possition for VLS placement, or better if non penetrating hull VLS can be placed near Hanggar. 64 VLS + 16 AShM for me considered as standar payload for 7000+ tonnes vessel from this point forward.

If the MR SAM use mk41 VLS then we can put lots of missile(quad-packed), but I think it will be a dedicated VLS (sea ceptor, mica, ESSM) rather than universal VLS (and big sized).

Put the 24 mrsam on the aft, and move half of the AShM on to the stern like in the Poland config.
