Let's just hope they'll amend the contract to use the original design of AH140.
That design is totally unlinked to Babcock's AH140. (should be)

Babcock has given license rights for construction of 2 hulls, not design rights or modification out of their supervision. They can not label Babcock's AH140 as "PT.PAL design", they don't own the design to begin with.

This is what they have attempted to do out of cooperation with OMT i guess, they one that has not proceeded. OMT has agreed to give out license and design rights of the new design to PT. PAL.

The design is more similar to IH rather than AH, but with a little touch of Damen's SIGMA.

i guess i better repost the pict View attachment 45173

So that's why, they insisted with 143 meter version, hadeeeh....
This Remind me to Maya or Takao back then when the bow section of the boat consume more than 1/3 of boat total lenght. Thus, will make the steering ability gain more challenge in narrow strait or pier.

Twin 76,2 mm gun ? I think they still put option to go rogue in the table when the missile is run out.

Joke aside, i hope they put Kronos or somewhat equivalent in our 143m Vrygate derived from AH 140

They tried to make it looking like AH140, (covered the top deck and missile bay and changed to 2x8 VLS)
Added a 5+ section to the forward section for VLS however i strongly doubt if they can ever fit a long VLS especially the ones on the most-starboard/aft ones there.
Tried to keep displacement around the IH after elongation and lowered the draft by 0.3

KCR's new design is particularly good.
Lol, what is good?

I mean they just cut the front sections of Mast so the Bofors 57 mm has enough space.

Moreover i didn't think this 3rd batch solved the stabillity issue. Other than that the electronics remains same as before.

Why they put the VLS for SAM at the bow section? That's a radical change from the original design.

Why they choose AShM with VLS? Are we hell-bent on putting Brahmos in this ship?

i honestly hope they'd go with original AH140 design with custom config on middle hull section to either accomodate more Anti Ship Missile or VLS also the integrated radar mast according to our need.

still hoping for 127/64 for coastal bombardment purpose + 76mm anti air cannon (Strales or Sovraponte) config though.

Brahmos was reported to get shorter and more compact versions soon, nowadays. Especially the ones comply with MTCR i guess. @Nilgiri may tell better.
So they haven't needed to have a VL there, they could place them with oblique launchers. But yeah "stelth".
Even the top-deck cover is uneven, it is inclined to make the VLS fit.

this is crunch

Agree, stick to the original design that already tested with the consortium and using armament without any massive modification to the hull system, it will reduce building time thus as the operator will be more confident with proven design.

We don't know what problem will occur with this massive design modification

Who has this idea?
Are this design approved by babcok?
