About Fix radar for AH140, I think it still possible. I mean, even on that PAL's ridiculous pamphlet it use fix radar.

Nearly $700 milllion USD with SM400 + NS50, 16NSM, MBDA VL missiles, little to no EW, No CIWS (dual-purpose 25 mm stabilized gun platform for CIWS)

However it is unclear whether this is the updated cost for Polish AH140, or it includes the missiles or the VL system, spares, maintenance for a terms. Details of agreement are undisclosed.

Even Type-31 with no license cost included, serial production guaranteed, no risks (financial, infastructure) involved, nearly disarmed (12 or 24 CAMM-ER without an actual VL but single contained canister) with a single rotating AESA gets high as $350 million (or even more include the SIGINT equipment). We all know it is impossible within that price range and will come as an additional package.

So is the first steel cutting ceremony of the Arrowhead 140 really scheduled for tomorrow? Any pics of the ceremony preparations at PT PAL?

A curious decision if this is what Indonesia wants. She won't pay for DSME1400 nor Scorpen, but rather prioritize acquiring an autonomous underwater vehicle. US Navy introduced a new extra large unmanned undersea vehicle named Orca-class this year so it is not like there isn't a precedent, but even they aren't planning to replace their attack submarines with unmanned undersea vehicles. However, it seems it is more to do with the budgetary issue that the Indonesian gov't is facing. No wonder the country doesn't have money to maintain her aerial & naval fleets.

For those who are interested in Indonesian researches on autonomous underwater vehicle may find this paper useful.

Well at least with this project, Indonesia has already paid the money unlike Scropene and DSME-1400. At least It is happening. Sooner or later.

I suspect, again, it is about profitablity. The prices of shipbuilding steel plates have gone up considerably thanks to inflation probably since the shipbuilder received the initial payment. The prices are actually coming down at the moment, but they are still very high. It is reasonable for PT PAL to wait and see if material costs could depreciate a bit more. I wouldn't be surprised if the Indonesian shipyard ends up demanding additional capital from the Indonesian gov't as the company probably isn't making any profit under the current circumstances.

BRS dr. Radjiman Wedyodiningrat launching

Maybe the postponed AH 140 are waiting for this BRS being launched?
They can start the project by cutting the steel or even building some modules first even when the dry dock is still being used

Will KRI Semarang keep being hospital ship or will be converted back to regular LPD in the future?
Currently we have 4 hospital ship right? Dr. Soeharso, KRI Semarang, that rather new BRS, this new BRS.

The newly commissioned Hospital Ship KRI dr. Radjiman Wedyodiningrat is to replace KRI Semarang. Looks like KRI Semarang will be converted back to LPD.
