Just lol lah, for people who keep mentioned Alman helvas tweet in this forum although several member here have repeatitively Deny his claims or caught him change his Twitter message, suddenly to talk like an experience expert.
Dunno which person you meant (I never even take AH tweet seriously and never considered others to be his bootlicker), but that logic shouldn't be used here. If Trishna Amerta still active, he would have uploaded a big image about Fallacy Logic.

Indonesia aims to have the strongest navy in Southeast Asia within the decade

Indonesian Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto has the Indonesian Government’s plan to further strengthen the country’s military strength and continue building up its capabilities.

Minister Subianto said that their goal is for the Indonesian Navy (TNI-AL) to have 50 combat-ready warships and making it the strongest navy in Southeast Asia.

This would be dependent on the Indonesian Government’s continuous support to fund the Ministry of Defense (MOD), which has received its highest ever budget for budget year 2022 reaching IRP133.9 trillion (US$9.33 billion).

The MOD plans to start procurement of several warships in the next 24 months, and has received the green light from Indonesian President Joko Widodo and the Indonesian Ministry of Finance.

Currently the MOD has confirmed the acquisition of 2 Arrowhead 140 frigates from the United Kingdom, 6 new FREMM frigates and 2 refurbished Maestrale-class frigates from Italy, while also in discussions to procure 8 Mogami-class frigates from Japan.

These will replace the 5 ageing Ahmad Yani-class frigates, while complementing the 2 Martadinata-class frigates currently with the TNI-AL.

Plans are also underway to procure destroyers and additional corvettes and submarines.

The sauce used in article is from tempo and kompas.

No mention about destroyer type ship in tempo, kompas is too long and I only take a fast scroll and cant find it either.

My understanding this far, within 24 mo we will have 50 combat ready warship 24/7, and we will purchase (or get) new warship in the next few years (such as AH140, FREMM).

So what type of destroyer that Indonesia could possibly financially procure?

my bet, with our current relation and procurement, its probably type 45. more less will be the family of daring, horizon and andrea doria. one of it could be the benchmark.

Korean solution is being pushed forward, but i still don't know which model they had offered. Four units is envisaged for ensuring operational requirement of minimum two ready at stand by.

So they use pohang class as sweetener?

Will this become a competition between JP and SK or its two separate program?

Is this more leaning into serious talk or just idle talk between officials to boost defence cooperation.

Two different program, as i said before. They need four Destroyer this to put forward their plan and filled the Koarmada RI as flagship armada with firepower and force projection capability, in the past Koarmada ALRI working with KRI IRIAN as flagship and have several destroyer as escort vessels now they wanted to replace KRI IRIAN with flat top platform, they need at least two units for minimum operational requirement.

Btw, Flat top platform would have minimum resistance from funding issue, as they are very useful for HADR mission roles and support units.

Can we even secure US support to put AEGIS on them?

Ask why they put so many supplier at once (like South Korean, Japan, Italian and so on)? This to reduce backlog time of building, so at least in a decade they can get the order.

The TCG Anadolu is quite good or not in your opinion? Just asking
