Anyone know the specifics of Indonesian participation in this exercise? It will grow over time, this is inaugural IND-ASEAN naval exercise.

[1]Participating ships are from Singapore, India, Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam.

[2]Participating aircraft are from India, Indonesia, Malaysia and the Philippines.

[3]The ASEAN Multilateral Naval Exercise is an ASEAN maritime exercise hosted by ASEAN Member States on a voluntary basis. The Philippines is hosting the 2023 edition.

Scrab II drone used in the MICA firing exercise...

Scrab II mimics flight path of jet fighters, maybe at some point navy need to do live fire with anti ship mimicking drones like BQM-74

Looks like MRCV taller than the original Iver Huitfeldt or Absalon. Nice design they changed the 2nd level naval gun become to be deck leveled VLS.

It would be interesting comparison with our merah putih frigate.

Hensoldt wins contract for integration of LYNCEA CMS on Indonesia Navy Pulau Rengat class

According to a PR published by Hensoldt on May 4, 2023, as part of the modernization of the Indonesian Navy’s Minehunters (Pulau Rengat class), HENSOLDT Nexeya France has been awarded a multi-million Euro contract from the Indonesian shipyard integrator NOAHTU.

The contract involves integrating the LYNCEA Combat Management System (CMS) and installing new sensors and equipment, such as the HENSOLDT UK Integrated Navigation Bridge System (INBS).

The goal is to modernize the Indonesian Navy's fleet and equip its two minehunters with the latest technologies in terms of underwater detection, intervention, and maritime monitoring.

The LYNCEA CMS will enable the ship's crews to inspect, detect, and neutralize mines in underwater areas through the integration of sensors and Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUV) systems, as well as the analysis and processing of this data.

The comprehensive "retrofit" solution will include the installation of the INBS, which will be connected to the CMS through a new integrated tactical interface module.

This will enable the CMS and INBS to exchange and merge navigation and mission information in real-time, providing an operational and tactical advantage to the vessels.

The project involves integrating a range of sensors, including SharpEye MK11 and MK7 radars, LTR 400 IFF transponder, and Tactical Data Link, as well as sonar and unmanned underwater vehicles dedicated to mine hunting.

HENSOLDT Nexeya France will be in charge of ship integration, validation (HAT), and sea trials (SAT) of the multi-console CMS connected to the navigation equipment and sensors.

HENSOLDT has been collaborating with the Indonesian Forces since 2017 and has delivered the ARGOSIA Airborne Mission System on several aircraft for maritime surveillance.

This new project reinforces HENSOLDT's position as a leading supplier of mission systems (MMS) and CMS for maritime and coastal surveillance in Southeast Asia.
