This Bantu Hidro Oseanografi Vessel has enough oceanographic instrument that could help to find the submarine in distress. Although im not sure that this vessel will be equipped with Hull Mounted Sonar, but there is wide range of other instrument, such as :
AUV
Side Scan Sonar
Magnetometer
and ROV

It looks like the Submarine Rescue Vessel (mothership) only has the capability to carry the DSRV, with limited search instrument, and will work in tandem with this BHO.

Jakarta (ANTARA) - TNI Angkatan Laut menyiapkan tambahan satu kapal bantu hidro-oseanografi (BHO) yang juga berfungsi sebagai sistem evakuasi kapal selam (SRVS) untuk Pusat Hidro-Oseanografi TNI AL (Pushidrosal).

Kepala Staf TNI AL (Kasal) Laksamana TNI Muhammad Ali menjelaskan tambahan satu unit kapal BHO itu untuk meningkatkan kerja-kerja survei dan pemetaan dasar laut yang merupakan tugas utama Pushidrosal.

“Untuk alutsistanya (Pushidrosal) akan ada penambahan. Satu unit lagi BHO sedang disiapkan dan nanti berfungsi selain sebagai kapal hidro-oseanografi juga sebagai kapal rescue (penyelamat, red.) terhadap kapal selam,” kata Laksamana Ali menjawab pertanyaan ANTARA saat jumpa pers selepas upacara serah terima jabatan Komandan Pushidrosal (Danpushidrosal) dan Pangkolinlamil di Markas Komando Kolinlamil, Jakarta, Senin.
