How much those airframe life left...is it still economical to maintaince..?

I believe the harrier is no longer feasible to operate, it's way too old and outdated, won't do much to elevate the naval capability, instead we're only getting more logistical and maintenence nightmare,,

Way much better if the money allocated to renew the sensors and electronics, refurbish the engine, and getting some naval helo and drones instead.

Yes indeed that what i think to

If we're talking about USMC AV8, most of the jets have almost 6000 flight hours already.

The Italians AV8s seem to have much less mission/sorties.

Btw, the CPFH for AV8 is about $13.733 (see below). Of course it can be reduced if the Italians willing to transfer all of their maintenance capability to us. We also buy the fuel from BUMN.

Not sure about the spare part though. Maybe we can cannibal those > 80 USMC AV8s as they plan to replace them all with F-35 next year.
