These are very old for their size, and are specimens of Chinese shipbuilding well before its prime; they are problematic ships. Bet China would love to dump them on the penny as it no longer fits their doctrine and as they're old, but doubt they would be a good source of newfound capabilities.

Does not matter to us, ship is ship, we "convert" them with pleasure. In some case we have dealt with MLU of certain platforms lacking all kind of documentation in regards of structural,pipe,electrification blue prints or electronic schematics not being made available for end user.
Safe to tell Torpedo is nothing more than a shell, propeller and battery + balance weight and equipped with primitive controllers that can't maintain route or speed, yet this is where one logically begins. It is a success if it goes "straight" enough to prove route keeping ability of the design - hence this is being reverse engineered from Italian LWT, it shouldn't be much of a matter.
