The latest Italian MoD’s DPP puts in evidence the programme for the replacement of the three San Marco/San Giusto 8,000 tonnes LPDs. 3 Italian LPD will be decommissioned in a few more years.
Its an LPD but got flat top any way, and if TNI AL only plan to use flat top for helicopter use, why not take it. We can consider it as an LHD.
Garibaldi + these 3 = 4 LHD.
Bam! TNI AL target to have 4 LHD easily accomplished, less capable but cheaper than building new LHD.
