Head of the TNI AL Information Service First Admiral Tunggul told ANTARA in Jakarta on Tuesday that construction of the Lampung base is nearing completion.

“Regarding the readiness of the base infrastructure in Lampung, we have entered the finishing phase. The process is expected to be concluded by Garibaldi’s arrival in Indonesia,” he remarked.

Tbh, proud to see that the Navy has an aircraft carrier today, hope they can afford to cover the operational costs of this ship, considering that it approximately 1 billion rupiah a day just for fuel alone.

Check the Indonesian Navy ships first,its not a small navy.

Right now? Not yet.

But Turkiye strengthening its position as one of the major weapon supplier for the Indonesian navy with supplying sewaco for old ship and new, I class frigate, FAC, sewaco for AH140.

It will give more advantage to Turkiye to be able to secure more deal in the future by leveraging interopability, integration and commonality with the Turkish stuff already used by Indonesian navy, and indonesian crew will be more familiar with them.

And Indonesian navy planned to have several LHD, destroyer, large number of frigate and opv and if Turkey can secure those deals then Indonesia could be the second Turkish flavored navy.
