Turrets and cannons in Badak (CSE 90 LP) can still be carried 4x4 vehicle. Badak should be at least has CSE 90 MP, the Badak 6x6 platform is dedicated FSV but its firepower is currently low. Compared to other 6x6 FSV Badak is outgunned, outperformed (no amphibious capability), and outdated (in terms of gunnery, FCS, stabilization, etc). Also the armor is so-so (dunno about the uparmored version). No wonder the order is so small.

The difference is minimal, if they wanted to there should be no problem to do incremental upgrade batch by batch, engine upgrades should be easy. But I guess buying comes with a lot of kickbacks.

It comes to threat perception, LP guns are adequate for fortifications busting. Higher firepower could be satisfied with either 105mm HP gun equipped Harimau or Pandur FSV. Btw these Badak are for Kikav not heavier units in Yonkav.

Badak is a decent product. It just need to be upgraded incrementally from time to time.

The Ministry of Defense plans to order 10 N219 units. Then several regions will also order, in line with the direction of the Ministry of Home Affairs to take advantage of PTDI's products.

Maybe its the Indonesian Navy.

PTDI to develop N219 MPA variant for The Indonesian Navy. There was also news that they are planning to replace the Nomads with the N219s.

One of the agencies that have placed an order is the Ministry of Defense (Kemhan) to add the main weapon system (Alutsista) to the TNI.

"The Ministry of Defense through the foreign loan program has ordered 10 units," he said.

In addition, Gita said, the N219, which is designed to connect inter-island connectivity, outer islands, and remote areas that are difficult to reach, can also be owned by local governments.

"From the Ministry of Home Affairs, we are being directed so that the N219 can be owned by the Provincial Government so that the market is wider," he said.

kinda too small for a MPA aircraft don't you think??
big ocean, lots of equipment and sensors
and they already have CN235 for MPA, why they still need a smaller one?

Don't know why. I thought the Navy already operate small aircraft for MPA & surveillance role like the NC-212 and Nomad.
