I think @Madokafc hinted the truth by referring to company as an importer partner. So it is obvious from that point of view that they are not even assembling the turret from scratch but mounting the barrel and equipment at best. Might provide some skills for maintenance later.

How is this would lower the turret price?

Make it "karya anak bangsa" so they don't need to pay import tax?

Or even better subcontract the projects into some workshop in Bulgaria, Pakistan or Turkey which has experience to built or designing Turret tank to do the Jobs 😆

Although, I okay if we can use this turret.

CMI 3105 can be put on Leo 1.
So why don't try to put MZK on Kaplan MT?
Seems like their turret ring diameter are the same?

Can they make MZK turret lighter, @Anmdt ?

The Indonesian Navy's Commitment to Continue Supporting P3DN to Achieve the Independence of Domestic Defense Equipment

Kadisadal in his speech said that planning for the development of the Indonesian Navy's strength is generally prepared in the stages of posture planning for the long term, strategic plans (Renstra) for the medium term and work plans (Renja) for the short term.

"The process of preparing a work plan to become a DIPA is a systematic budget planning flow mechanism for one year, so it is hoped that the work plan that is prepared will be on target in accordance with the medium and long term planning that has been determined," said Kadisadal.

Disadal as PPK in collaboration with PT. Tesco Indomaritim, PT. Palindo Marine, and PT. Noahtu Shipyard as a partner providing goods and services which is a symbol of the start of the physical process of procuring two special mission combat boat units with information on the respective contract values for the special mission combat boat from PT. Tesco Indomaritim amounting to IDR 26,964,500,000, special mission combat boat from PT. Palindo Marine amounting to IDR 26,963,000,000, and one Harbor Tug unit from PT. Noahtu Shipyard with a contract value of IDR 79,900,000,000.

"I hope to procure two special mission combat boat units and one Harbor Tug TA unit. "In 2023, shipyards will be able to increase the use of domestic products (P3DN) so that our support for government programs can be implemented and the government's targets and aspirations for the independence of the defense industry and improving the economy can be realized," said TNI First Admiral Widiyantoro.

Jakarta – Deputy Minister of Defense M. Herindra representing Minister of Defense Prabowo Subianto received the Japanese Parliamentary Delegation for Defense Industry HE Mr. Onodera Itsunori, Former Minister of Defense Member of the House of Representatives and the Japanese parliamentary delegation in the field of defense industry in the Manggala Yudha Room of the Ministry of Defense, Jakarta, Wednesday (20/9).

Starting the meeting, the Deputy Minister of Defense expressed his gratitude for the visit of the Japanese parliamentary delegation, because so far Japan has helped Indonesia a lot, especially in difficult times during Covid-19.

"We are quite satisfied with the relations that have existed so far, especially in the defense industry sector. "It is hoped that in the future we can further improve bilateral relations, considering that currently we are also sending many young Indonesian officers to Japan to study at the Japanese military academy," said Deputy Minister of Defense M. Herindra.

In this regard, the Japanese Parliamentary Delegation discussed technological innovations in the defense industry produced by the Japanese defense industry. The Japanese delegation also expressed the hope that in the future there would be interaction and cooperation between Indonesian defense officials and Japanese defense officials. This is to encourage economic growth and regional security to strengthen the defense of both countries.

When receiving the Japanese parliamentary delegation, the Indonesian Deputy Minister of Defense was accompanied by Director General Strahan, Director General Renhan, Kabaranahan, Dirtekinhan and the Director of Technology and Portfolio Management of PT LEN Industri (Persero) Holding Defense ID, Deputy Main Director of PT Pindad along with the Japanese Delegation Mr. Wada Yoshiaki Member of the House of Representatives, Ms. Matsukawa Rui Member of House of Councilors, HE Mr. Kanasugi Kenji Ambassador of Japan to the Republic of Indonesia, Capt (N) Hamakawa Sho Defense Attache of Japan to the Republic of Indonesia, Mr. Konishi Nobuyuki Director Asia and Middle East Program sasakawa Peace Foundation (SPF), Mr Kurauchi Koji Expert Officer for International Cooperation International Cooperation Division, ATLA, MOD (Public Relations Bureau of the Secretariat General of the Ministry of Defense).
