Pindad Introduces Anti-Drone Weapon SPS-1 & Maung MV3 Mobile Jammer in IKN

The VP of Innovation, Prima Kharisma explained the development process and the uniqueness of the integrated defense system in it.

"This product is a type of combination variant that has never been developed before in the world, you could say it's an original design from Indonesia where the development process of the vehicle, weapons, and jammer components are integrated into one unified anti-drone defense system," said Prima.

The SPS-1 is operated by 1 personnel, reliable for high mobility because it is attached to the weapon, battery-powered so it does not depend on a static power system. The SPS-1 has the ability to neutralize drone threats with 2 methods, the first is a soft kill to deactivate the threatening drone by closing control access at a distance of 500 m. The second is a hard kill which is destructive or destroys the drone at a distance of 150 m. This weapon is designed to follow the latest technological developments and is the result of adjustments to user needs.

Meanwhile, the Maung MV3 Mobile Jammer is designed as a mobile anti-drone system that is able to neutralize drone threats quickly and accurately. This vehicle is equipped with a drone jammer as a soft kill weapon and a 12.7 mm caliber SMB SM5 A1 weapon as a hard kill weapon.

With a jamming radius of 3 kilometers using the soft kill method and a destruction distance of up to 1.8 kilometers using the hard kill method, this vehicle provides reliable protection, has domestic technical and after-sales support. Equipped with a 4x4 drive, this vehicle is capable of operating on various types of terrain, both on-road and off-road. PT Pindad collaborates with PT SCM (Sapta Cakra Manunggal), because this company is a national private company that has experience in manufacturing electronic defense products. Its products have also been used in several military units and national vital objects.

In the future, this product is expected to be used by the TNI and Polri in supporting national defense and security, especially from interference and threats from illegal drones.

If this info is true that the Anoa 3 based from VAB Mk.3 was cancelled by Pindad then more OEM company will consider Indonesia an unreliable partner. After Pindad Sanca (Bushmaster) cancelled now this.

Tbh i wanted this Pindad Anoa 3 own design to be put forward.

Why signed agreement in the first place with Arquus if Pindad instead doesn't honored it. Pindad did this kind of cancellation before with Thales for the Pindad Sanca. This is about honoring agreement.
