DI will assemble 295 too?
I hope they will use this instead of 235 for AEW&C

The position of the turret is rather to the rear of the hull. Cmiiw the amount of infantry it could carry must be low.

The unmanned version of Cockerill 3030 did not have hull-penetrating bucket like 3105. It only need control console under hull. However, the MANNED version of 3030 did have bucket like Cockerill 3105.

Diana said this step marks the immediate start of the docking program maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO), as well as the first international warship MRO project in PAL's history.

She explained that PAL won the open tender process for this MRO project and outperformed local shipyards from the Philippines, thus proving that the company's services are recognized regionally and globally.

In this MRO project, the main focus of the work includes the propulsion system, below waterline maintenance (BGA), and valve system, with a targeted completion time of four months.

Indonesia, South Korea reaffirm defense industry ties with focus on aerospace development

Indonesia and South Korea have reaffirmed their long-standing defense partnership, placing a sharper focus on expanding cooperation in the aviation and aerospace industries. Indonesian Deputy Defense Minister Donny Ermawan Taufanto and Seok Jong-gun, head of South Korea’s Defense Acquisition Program Administration, recently reinforced the nations’ commitment to a strategic collaboration that transcends procurement and emphasizes joint development, training and industrial capability-building.

The leaders’ March 2025 meeting at Indonesia’s Defense Ministry reflects the growing bilateral relationship. “I come to Jakarta with the responsibility to strengthen cooperation between South Korea and Indonesia,” Seok said. “We see Indonesia as an important strategic partner.”

At the core of the collaboration is the KF-21/IFX fighter jet development project, which began in 2010 and recently underwent adjustments to financing and technology transfers. “The cooperation between Indonesia and South Korea is not limited to buying and selling but also increasing capacity and capability in the aviation industry,” Taufanto said, praising the performance of South Korean-made assets used by the Indonesian Air Force, such as the T-50 and KT-1 trainer aircraft.

Indonesia is investing about $409 million in the project, down from an original estimate of about $1.1 billion, The Korea Herald newspaper reported. The program now includes full technology transfer — from aircraft design and component manufacturing to flight testing and maintenance — which is expected to boost Indonesia’s long-term aerospace capabilities, according to Indonesian defense analyst Beni Sukadis.

“One of the key developments in the KF-21/IFX project is South Korea’s agreement to accept Indonesia’s proposal to adjust its financial commitment,” Sukadis told FORUM. “This adjustment reflects a cooperative effort to ensure project sustainability.”

Indonesian defense firm PT Dirgantara is expected to focus on prototyping the fighter jet in 2025 and start production in 2026, Pudji Astuti, an analyst at Indonesia’s Defense Ministry, told FORUM.

Dislitbangau Bahas Kajian Pengembangan Avionik CN295 serta Mission System Drone

Infoglobal_3865329554472596073_n.jpg

The Dislitbangau visit aims to discuss the CN295 aircraft avionics development study plan, namely the Multipurpose Control & Display Unit (MCDU) and the drone mission system. The MCDU is a vital component that functions as the main interface for the pilot and the aircraft management system/Flight Management System.

Previously, Infoglobal successfully developed avionics for the CN295 aircraft, namely the Integrated Electronic Standby Display (IESD) which functions as a backup instrument for artificial horizon data, altimeter, and airspeed indicator in the 3-ATI display.

In addition, Infoglobal has also successfully developed other aircraft avionics such as the Hawk 100/200, KT-1B, Super Tucano, C-130 Hercules, Boeing 737-200, Grob, Heli Hughes, NC-212, and PC-7. The avionics system successfully developed by Infoglobal has various functions, ranging from Display System, Mission Planning, Sensor Processing, Navigation System, Recording & Camera System, Communication System to Mission System.

In addition to discussing the MCDU study plan, a cooperation plan to create a drone mission system was also discussed. Currently, Infoglobal is independently developing an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) or Medium Altitude Long Endurance (MALE) drone with a surveillance mission.
