Collaboration between PT. Teknologi Militer Indonesia (TMI) - Fincantieri - Italydesign

Indonesia will soon welcome a new national car, the Indigenous Indonesia Car (I2C), scheduled to debut at the 2025 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS).

The I2C is more than just talk. At the country's largest automotive exhibition, I2C will introduce its concept car in the form of a full-size (1:1) clay model for the first time to the public.

PT PAL and Roketsan Cooperate on Procurement of Weapon Systems for Indonesian Navy Warships

PT PAL Indonesia signed a cooperation contract with Roketsan, a Turkish defense company, for the procurement of the Midlas Vertical Launch System (VLS) weapon system for the Merah Putih (Red and White) Frigate.

The system will be integrated using the Fitted For But Not With (FFBNW) scheme, meaning the ship is designed ready for future weapon installation. Implementation is a complex engineering process that requires an understanding of integrating ship control systems, from navigation and sensors to missile launchers.

In addition to the VLS system, the collaboration also includes the procurement of the Atmaca Surface-to-Surface Missile (SSM) weapon system, which will be used in the R-41 project, specifically the Fatahillah Class, Fast Patrol Boat (FPB) Class, and Parchim Pattimura Class.

"This capability is a vital strategic asset. That's where the strength lies in comprehensive warship design," said PT PAL Indonesia CEO Kaharuddin Djenod after signing the agreement with Roketsan CEO Murat Ikinci on the sidelines of the International Defense Industry Fair (IDEF) 2025 in Istanbul, Turkey, on Thursday (July 24).
