is this worse then the years long yellow vest movement?
It is more violent and widespread than previous movements. On top of that the demonstrations are carried out by many different parts and social classes of the French society. They all decline Macron's policies but cannot be necessarily described as allies which makes the situation even worse. There are too many clashing interests and demands on the ground and is simply not possible for the Macron government to take all of the wishes into consideration.

This has lead to the current chaos.

If the protests in France maintain this momentum, they could soon spread to other European countries. The economic outlook is bleak.

Philippe Fabry, French Historian of Institutions and Political Ideas, author of "The Collapse of the European Empire (2022"):

“Due to the inconsistency and imbalance of content in the constitution, the 5th Republic, a weakened and aging regime, proved unsuitable for French society.

In a way that has not yet been realized, Macron will have to resign as he is unlikely to yield.

The 5th Republic (the current regime of France) will not survive, as no one wants Marine Le Pen (far-right) to take the vacant seat.”

The French police spray tear gas at the journalist covering the demonstrations, telling them to "go home".

The Loopsidern News cameraman, who was following the demonstrations in Paris on March 16, is being removed from the area by other police while he is filming the police intervention.

The cameraman is gassed by the police even though he shows his press card and has a "press" sleeve on his arm.

The police are trying to prevent the cameraman from doing his job by telling him to go home.

Only to southern European countries will be effected(as usual),the North(Nordics,The Netherlands,Germany,Poland) will be able to handle it.
