There is still not sufficient evidence that suggests Iran is entering the war.
These are just some skirmishes by proxies.

I know, but it's not Iran who controls the trigger here. Unlike those Syrian rebels or weak Iraqi state post-Saddam they don't have the escalation dominance. If USA said, that you (Iran) are to be blamed and we directed retaliation towards you (Iran) then they'll be forced to enter the war.

Iran is quite bold, even against an enemy thy know they could not stand a chance to fight by conventional means.

Every time there is a conflict we always hear world war, i still remember when screams of world war were heard after 9/11. Since then we had multiple invasions including Russias invasion of Ukraine and still no world war.

If there is one state you would have to imagine would benefit from a world war its the worlds only super power. Nations like Egypt, Iran, Jordan will get swept aside and the anglo-american takes them back to how it was during the British/French mandate era.

When one nations spends over a trillion dollars on their military it must frustrate them that they don't have the excuse to utilise it.

As for Turkiye, we need minimum 10 years more of development, ideally 20.

As for egypt, Sisi is Isreals man. He's got to placate his people, so a big song and dance will occur, but nothing will be done.

But if you look at the developing situation it does achieve at least:

1. The U.S. project of "normalization'' finally met its demise, just in short order after the Biden administration declared that "the Middle East has never been more stable". We saw Arab-wide condemnation, even from their allies in the UAE, Saudis are canceling/putting a hold on their normalization with Israel, meanwhile, Israel left their consulate in Morocco.
2. The return of hate towards Israel in the Muslim world after their respective governments has spent so much through propaganda and paid influencers to accept friendships and normalcy with Israel.
3. The opening of another front in Lebanon, and if miscalculations happens in the process it could result in a war stretching from Iran, Iraq, Syria, Lebanon and prolly in the Sinai as well. Further taxing the Americans who has tried to leave the region to face off China in the Pacific.

My take is that the U.S-Israeli camp will achieve early victory, but if war persists and the U.S happens to be tied in the Middle East when China finally makes its move, they're in big trouble. The U.S doesn't have the industrial capacity to fight a three front wars against 2 state actors + multiple non-state actors in ME and Africa.

note: It is general wisdom that conflict is expected to erupt in the East China sea before 2049. That's roughly in a space of 25 years. I hope whoever has a plan, consider this !

President Joe Biden heads to Israel tomorrow not just to show support for a country during one of its darkest hours but to prevent the administration from getting bogged down in a larger Middle East conflict — one that could derail its agenda.
Biden has been privately adamant that the administration needs to demonstrate it has Israel’s back, said five U.S. officials, all granted anonymity to discuss sensitive internal deliberations. The decision to make a one-day visit to the country was crafted with that in mind.

But those officials also said there was a subtler objective inside the administration. No one, in the Oval Office or elsewhere in the West Wing, has an appetite to make Israel’s fight against Hamas the top foreign policy priority — and especially with mounting domestic concerns and a growing struggle to sustain support for Kyiv in its war with Russia.

“We’re going to keep helping the Israelis wage this fight,” said one of the officials, adding that “there’s no interest in seeing the war widen.”
The administration has repeatedly signaled it won’t overstep in reaction to the conflict that has already killed 1,400 people in Israel, around 3,000 Palestinians, and resulted in 30 dead Americans plus a handful believed to be held hostage.

In a “60 Minutes” interview that aired Sunday, Biden ruled out sending U.S. troops into the war and warned Israel against occupying Gaza, the Hamas-run enclave. Those messages are paired with repeated warnings to Iran and its proxy forces, namely Hezbollah, to keep out of the conflict. Their entry not only would force Israel to fight on two fronts, imperiling its defense, but also increase the likelihood that Biden would have to send more military support, potentially putting American boots on the ground.

The biggest threat facing the USA and Israel is that they have to wage the Ukraine-Gaza and Taiwan wars simultaneously. Even China knows that the USA cannot be present on three fronts at the same time, right?

In summary:

1. While the IDF professional core is extremely polished and capable, the Israeli army is and remains a conscript/reservists-based army, the reservists are neither particularly well trained nor well disciplined by American standards.​

2. Today Israel faces highly disciplined and motivated nonstate foes in southern Lebanon and the Palestinian territories, and its military does not seem to have a clear advantage over them at the unit level.​

3. The segregation of Palestinians and the erection of walls helped the IDF to be in the dark about HAMAS movements.​

4. The few Hezbollah fighters he met in 2006, for the most part, as motivated, well-trained, and disciplined. Those who fought in the 2006 war with Israel retained a certain amount of wary respect for the U.S. military but held their Israeli adversaries in contempt. They had seen Israeli soldiers in action—and had not been impressed.​

5. IDF has discipline issues,: In 2006, Hezbollah was able to locate Israeli positions by intercepting Israeli reservists calling home on their mobile phones.​

6. Hezbollah fighters he interviewed also give little appreciation when it comes to Iran : "A friend of mine questioned a Hezbollah fighter after 2006 about the training he had received from Iran, and his interlocutor scoffed in reply, “Iran? When was the last time those guys won a war?”​

So it is in the long term interest for whoever has a plan to keep them in perpetual combat, perpetual loss and perpetual mobilization which would slowly erode whatever military advantage they have with the current status quo, slowly atrit their core highly-trained regular army and transform them more into a reservist heavy army.

When it finally came to that state again as I said, Israel is only a nation of 9 million, of which only 7 millon are jews, they could not afford a forever war if they wish to stay a normal high income country, they could only afford troops surge for a period of time (like in Gaza now). And if in that moment another geopolitical earthquake happens that forced America to leave, they're as good as dead.

Back in the Vietnam war, for a single American soldier killed, the Viet Cong are expecting 100 of their own. So let's see if the Arabs are looking forward that way. They can absolutely afford this to make for their relative bacwardness in tech.
