I think the Houthis will continue to try to be a thorn in the side of Israel's Allies, but the Western world / 1st world countries are simply not going to allow important shipping lanes to be held hostage in this day and age. Commerce is too imporant and safe passage for ships is vital to international trade and keeping supply lines open is paramount.

If the Houthis want Yemen to be bombed back into the stone age as a result of attacking civilian merchant shipping vessels, it's their call, but the only people that are going to suffer are their populace. Despite all that the West has given Ukraine, the one thing that they have near infinite amounts of are guided / unguided air to surface ordinance, complimented by thousands of sea-to-land launched cruise missiles.

It's really, really, really, not a good idea for the Houthis to threaten international trade. It's not just American air and naval power that is going to show up at your door. The Americans, British, French, Saudis and the rest of NATO / The West are going to be flying hundreds of sorties over Yemen and the waters surrounding it, with the Houthis able to do little about it.

They were the direct beneficiary of this . Of course it's in their interest to keep the tension brewing ...
Some missile's and munitions shipping donations are minute changes compared to the tangible benefits that falls unto their lap ..
It's the height of western stupidity to sacrifice ukraine's over Israel's benefits ...
And now they are riding the tigers and couldn't get down at all ...

While i have some lingering hope . It looks hopes are a scarcity product nowadays ..
The biggest myth perpetuated is that NATO and the West cannot supply Ukraine with what it needs to fend off Russia, while simultaneously supporting Israel. What the two nations need in terms of war materials are very, very different.

What does Ukraine need to fight their war and drain the Russian army of resources?

They need tanks, infantry fighting vehicles, armored personnel carriers, demining equipment, modern artillery, larger quantities of artillery shells and mortar rounds, massive amounts of cheap drones, sufficient quantities of F-16s, air launched cruise missiles such as JASSM and TAURUS, sophisticated, guided ordinance such at ATACMS GMLRS, GLSDB and above all else, a consistent flow of air defense systems, missiles and ammunition. Lastly, Ukraine needs large quantities of funding to keep their country running while at war... The West lacks none of what I listed above. It simply requires the political will power, manifested in action, for Russia to be forced into an unwinnable war.

Do you realize that in 2024 alone the West could send Ukraine 1500 MBTs, 1000 IFVs, 1000 APCs, 500 artillery systems, 2 millions artillery shells, 500 ATAMS / ATACMS and cruise missiles, 100 F-16s with signicant quantities of air-to-air, and air-to-ground weaponry of numerous types, thousands of anti-armor weapons and hundreds of air defense missiles... Without removing a single item from their active war time stockpile?. They have have items have excellent war materials in storage that they're not even using and don't intend to use in the future. For about $100-$125 Billion usd they could essentially re-equip the entire Ukrainian army and air force, including 200,000 new recruits, while remaining perfectly capable of fighting a second war of their own.

Keep in mintheyat the West has also frozen $300 Billion usd worth of Russian foreign assets. Those assets will largely be liquidated to rebuild Ukraine, however, a portion of then could be liquidated in the immediacy to give give Ukraine and insane boost to their war chest that would allow them the purchasing power to add even more to their military resources than I listed above.

What does Israel need to fight their war against Hamas and their allies?

The Israelis need large quantities of guided and unguided air launched ordinance such as JDAM equipped 500lb, 1000lb and 2000lb bombs. They need large quantities of hellfire missiles and APKWS for their attack helicopters and drone fleet. They need a modest number of artillery shells. But above all else they need Naval support from their allies, and the willingness of countries like USA, Britain and France to use submarine and ship launched missiles to make surgical strikes and for carrier and land based aircraft to to bolster the Israeli Air Force in pounding enemy positions with air launched ordinance.

These are very difference wars, being fought using very different military resources. There is little crossover between the supplies required by Ukraine to stall the Russian advance and the supplies required by Israel to continue their power projection. Ukraine needs roughly $100 Billion usd worth of support each year, combined with their growing war spending. Israel probably needs $25-$30 Billion usd worth of support to keep up its war effort for a prolonged period of time. I can't tell you little small of a sum of money that is when you're talking about 30-40 countries splitting the bill. Combined, those countries spent TRILLIONS on Covid-19 when they took seriously. All it would take is for the West to take both of these conflicts seriously for it to be a really rough time for both Russian and Hamas.

Saudi Arabia, UAE, and a few other Arab countries with the support of US and UK, have been bombarding Yemen for years with their modern weaponry.
So far it led to the destruction of some infrastructure and the killing and displacement of countless civilians on the Yemeni side.
As for the Arab coalition, it only led to huge amounts of humiliation especially on the Saudi part.
These air strikes are hardly going to change anything except exasperating more violent actions by the Houthis against US and UK targets.

In other words .... Your suggestion for the palestinian is rolling over and surrender .
Thanks for the clarification there ..

Side note : Indonesia were not a moslem country . We are moslem majority country . While almost 90 % were supporting the palestinian cause . We were aware of our strength and weakness . Before we transform our self to become a sufficient enough to confront two front enemies on Aussie's level of strengh and winning . All talks are meaningless ..
Hence , we never preach . If you are going to talk . You have to walked it ..by your own . Never depending on other's
And just to ilustrate some thing here ... All of those husband and sons we were sending to the unifil . All of them were never expected to return . Since we were fully aware on the world political circumstances . They are nothing but a mere expendables cosmetical fence sitter ... Yet , we wholly accepted such role as a meagre tokens of solidarity for the people of lebanese and palestine ... In our miniscule capacity ...
I said again ...we Indonesian are never preach . We acts .

Oct 7th should have never of happened, that opened the doors for the zionists to flood in and erase Gaza. You gave them exactly what they wanted and they are exploiting it to the fullest. To me losing avoidable wars is just as bad as surrender.

It would be like Turkey directly destroying american bases in syria and iraq that are protecting PKK terrorists. Turkey does that and she risks being destroyed, so you don't do it. Yeah its a bitter pill to swallow, but if you want to win in the long term instead of being destroyed in the short term you got to play the game. Your enemies hope you take the bait, they hope you make stupid decisions opening the doors for them to f'k you.

Imagine I'm Turkish, I'm aware of the vastness and greatness of Turkish history. Whose history has fought more in the name of Islam then the Turks? Only yesterday the Turks went to war with the european greeks and defeated them over Cyprus. We supported another Turkic state in liberating her land from Armenian/Russian occupiers. In Syria we have the USA and Russia united against us, despite their threats of war, we still went in.

In Libya we stopped the Russian/French/Gulf state/Israeli/Egyptian/Iranian alliance from conquering that country. Yet you don't see me touting like we are this amazing country. No, its this arrogance combined with an ignorance causing Muslims to lose. Muslims must demand more from their governments, that is the only real solution.

Any fool knew that an attack like on October 7th would achieve no strategic gains for the Palestinians while opening the doors for a real army to come in and crush them. Any fool knew this.

Logic tells me that behaving like a fool can only come from the devil. That foolish behaviour at state level ruins nations, causing millions of people to suffer and die as a result of it.

Now your point about being strong enough to do something, yes exactly. That's why Palestine must endure and not make stupid mistakes. Because eventually another Muslim majority nation, maybe a few will become big enough and strong enough to do something about it. But the way Palestinians are behaving they won't be around in 30 years in terms of holding any land.

You know what this argument reminds me of, it reminds of the argument where i was telling Palestinians it was dumb to throw stones at Isreali tanks and people were telling me it was good. That's what this reminds me of. My advice stops Palestinians dying, the ones celebrating it basically pushed Arab children to give the zionist an easy reason to kill them. Throwing a stone changes nothing, not throwing it keeps a child alive who may one day contribute to something positive.

They were already stone-aged. More stone-aging and bombing will not stop them.

The West already knows this. You cant erase these groups with airforces. You need boots on the ground. And which western nation will sacrifice their own troops and treasury to invade a stone-aged desert nation to fight Houthi's, for....for what?

I suspect they want boots on the ground and will use this as an opportunity. It allows them to further clamp down and control the shipping passage.

We will see if the Houthies will respond by directly targeting US and ally Navy vessels in the area. Until then we will most probably witness increased Houthi activities against merchant vessels and the US doing limited air operations against them. It would be interesting to see the Gulf countries position on the situation and especially the position of Saudi Arabia.

Seriously ...so long and winded yet you forget . Israel and SA are mere inches away to buried the two state solution for good .

Seriously , you don't have to answer to me anymore . I have noticed . Different people has a different view and opinion indeed . Yet , who are we to control the palestinian aspiration and wishes ?? It's easy to talk about peace ideals and freedom high road when we are not the one who get pointed guns to our head .. we are merely bystander and witness to the history . While your ideals were sound and might be the right answe for some . Some prefer go with a dignity .

Side note : taking page from our independence struggles . Oct 7th were the surabaya of palestine . So much bloods lives are perished there . Even the british are simply packing and leave after levelling the whole city . Did we mourn the losses ....sure we do . But , we Indonesian are gladly pay it . No question asked .
So much destruction for the permanent diplomatical decision of Palestinian statehood were not a bad trade in my book . Would it be done ?? .... I sincerely don't know .

It's easy ....

you are absolutely clueless. No wonder the tiny Dutch could come from the other side of planet and ruled Indonesia for hundred years, only for the Japanese to come and kick them out. Then it took the Americans to defeat the Japanese before you could declare independence. Now your trying to educate the world in geopolitical matters, absolute nonsense. Yeah your the guys who know what the Palestinians should be doing, you guys whose independence is just a coincidence of circumstance. America doesn't defeat Japan your still a colony today.

There was never going to be a two state solution, that could not be obtained by force. The two state solution was always a ruse by the zionists and their anglo american backers. Every step of the way they set up traps for the Arabs and they took it. Now their screaming genocide as Gaza is reduced to rubble. After decades of failure the only option they had was endure and not fall into any more traps, they failed and now everyone is talking about genocide.

Another Hamas attack like the one on Oct 7th and Palestine is total history.

I'm tired of people like you who all talk a big game but you got no history to back it up, none. In fact what you promote leads to ruination. Nothing more. Now everyone screams genocide, what did you think was going to happen after Oct 7th? Conquer Israel? Jokers.

It was similar stupid shit when AK party fell into the american/isreali trap to join their war against Assad. We used to hear we will praying in Damascus, nope you got played and as a result they created pkk statelet in syria while the Russians and americans set up bases along our entire border to protect them. Traps, fall for enough of them and you end up like Palestine. Honestly are Muslims not tired of being so easily manipulated by the west? Why do Muslims always give them what they want?

Back then i told everyone i knew that syria was a trap, next to no one listened they had that typical islamic arrogance and here we are today.

Let me clarify things first . I am not a clueless . I am a realistic . It's you who are slowly get too detached with the reality .
You and me are not in control on what the palestinian would do . Nor their aspiration or ideals . They choose this road and live with the consequences . You might say they were dumb . Yet , you are so conviniently forgetting the Israel - SA normalization deal which in turn would erased the palestinian words for good . You said they should bide their time .... Time which is the luxury they don't have at all . While you proclaimed Hamas are dumb to jumped into the Israel's trap . I said they were genious . Because they simply tied and bind the rest of the Islamic worlds ( SA included ) to their cause hence no chances for the supposedly Israel - SA normalization process should ever happen . And rekindling world attention to their plight . Why ?? Because they aware their subversionist policy are not working anymore hence a new tactics . It's a scorched earth policiy tactic you might say ...but , it's works and works for them splendidly ...
And now why we get colonialized for 350 years ?? It's simple ...because we have too many people like you . People who undeliberately take a subversionist attitude out of fears and insecurities over western might and prowess . Until our youth movement finally had it enough . Sometime you just have to take a stand . Allah blessing's the WW2 happened and we are seizing the chamce..and boy we paid dearly for it ... With bloods and lives of our predecessor to come to where we are today . So , do not ever insult our independence strugles !!
It's always easy to talk about ideals and whatsnot when we are sitting comfortly behind a screen and never have take a bullet for our carbonated drinks .

Like i said before you ideas might be a sound one . But , some simply chose dignity ...

I said Oct 7th would open the doors to the zionists destroying Gaza and Usurping lands. So far I'm correct. Detached was celebrating Oct 7th like some grand victory despite it achieving nothing strategic.

You and me are not in control on what the palestinian would do . Nor their aspiration or ideals . They choose this road and live with the consequences . You might say they were dumb .

The results speak for themselves. Failure after failure, if you call that intelligent then there is nothing I can do for you.

Yet , you are so conviniently forgetting the Israel - SA normalization deal which in turn would erased the palestinian words for good .

Saudi Arabia is no more then a western vassal, expecting good from this is pure naivety. The two state solution was a always ruse, something to buy isreal time while justifying her occupational presence in the region. She's used that so wisely that today they can openly talk about taking most of the middle east.

You said they should bide their time .... Time which is the luxury they don't have at all . While you proclaimed Hamas are dumb to jumped into the Israel's trap . I said they were genious . Nothing has been achieved, Gaza is reduced to rubble. As we talk now the Isrealis are still bombing the shit out the place. maybe 40,000 dead and hundreds of thousands displaced. Nothing genius in it. While we talk the anglo-americans are looking to expand the war into yemen, maybe they occupy that land too out of this. Genius.

Because they aware their subversionist policy are not working anymore hence a new tactics . It's a scorched earth policiy tactic you might say ...but , it's works and works for them splendidly ...

A hundred years of failure limited their options, what they could not afford to do was an attack like Oct 7th, you are seeing the results the zionists have flooded into Gaza.

And now why we get colonialized for 350 years ?? It's simple ...because we have too many people like you . People who undeliberately take a subversionist attitude out of fears and insecurities over western might and prowess .

This is just teenager talk. When i talk i look at the results are they good or are they bad.

You and me.are simply loking from a different point of view . Hence there would be no common geound to be had .
But ,it's remind me of the elderly story back in the days . They said in every generation there would be a smart guy like you ... So smart and visionary yet never make something for them selves at the end .
And honestly ... For a teenager's talks . 75 years of continuous foreign power machination . Yet , we keep our selves never beholden to anybody . Thanks god we are still stamding and slowly incing stronger by the day ... look like there is a merit for a not so bright anyway ...

Especially when ISIS was created. It was like a hype, a trend. Tens of thousands of muslim youngsters from all races, from over the whole world buying tickets and flying to the Turkish border to enter Syria. Even just converted White Europeans and their young women, rushing to join ISIS.

Normally if you enter a European or American airport with a beard or burqa and a ticket to the Middle East the security will doublecheck you and take you apart for questions, but no country stopped these volunteers. They blamed Turkey instead for not securing the Turkish-Syrian border.

The Western nations felt very happy because they lost a large amount of coloured workless and radical homeless people who were otherwise on the governments social welfare payroll, and now they would be canon fodder for the US coalition troops. Joining ISIS was more trendy than joining Binance to buy crypto.

Just after years when ISIS was destroyed by Turkish forces, the Western nations tried to stop the recruiting because the militants left ISIS and came back to Europe.

Where are those recruits and youngsters now? Why not join Hamas to fight a real enemy like Israel? Where are those bearded militants with their families, buying tickets to go fight for 'Dawa'? Were are those converted White muslims declaring on Tiktok that they would go fight in Gaza? Why is Palestina not a hot magnet for these international radicals like Syria was in the past?

This is the biggest evidence that ISIS was a Western security asset.
