This comparison doesn't have any sense, because Germans were fighting from 1939. and Japanese even before that, while US and UK started real fighting only in 1944. and even that is not near the scale like on the Eastern front.

On paper, fighting on the ground started only in 1940, and then stopped. Battles fought in the Mediterranean, Africa, and the Atlantic and the air war compared with the battles on the Eastern front were only skirmishes.

There is no permanent border with Palestinians since they refuse to all permanent agreements so far. But there was agree cease fire borders which they violated and started a war.
