Israeli imports from China up 42.8 pct in Q3

Israeli imports from China, excluding diamonds, increased by 42.8 percent year on year in the third quarter of 2021, according to a report issued by the Israeli Central Bureau of Statistics on Tuesday.

In July-September, Israel's imports from China totalled 3.57 billion U.S. dollars, compared with 2.5 billion U.S. dollars in the same period in 2020, the report said.

In the first nine months of 2021, Israeli imports from China reached 9.47 billion dollars, with an increase of 40 percent, compared with 6.76 billion dollars in January-September last year.

Israeli exports to China rose by 2.5 percent in the third quarter, from 1.18 billion dollars in July-September last year to 1.21 billion dollars this year.

In the first nine months, Israeli exports to China recorded 3.65 billion dollars, after a 5.2 percent rise from 3.47 billion dollars in the same period of 2020.

Total Israeli imports in the first nine months of 2021 amounted to 65.2 billion dollars, with an increase of 30.9 percent, while Israeli exports amounted to 42.1 billion dollars, up by 15.4 percent, the report said.
