We should ask money for every passing ship, like Egypt and Panama are doing in their canals (100.000 US dollars per ship).
Or we should create Canal İstanbul and close the Straits.
And i really dont understand why we use a Greek name for a Turkish strait (Bosporus - 'rus' - is it Russia's strait ?).
The name of the channel comes from the Ancient Greek Βόσπορος (Bósporos), which was folk-etymologised as βοὸς πόρος, i.e. "cattle strait" (or "Ox-ford"), from the genitive of boûs βοῦς 'ox, cattle' + poros πόρος 'passage', thus meaning 'cattle-passage', or 'cow passage'.
