Really interesting thread, I'm going to enjoy watching this one.

I remember picture that made headlines in late 90s or early 2000s (I cannot remember) with Varyag aircraft carrier being towed through bosphorus for delivery to China.

I remember the cover story was it was to be turned into a casino in Macao heh.

Later China turned it into their first carrier Liaoning.
