Japan opens the F-X Fighter project to foreigners
The Japanese Ministry of Defense announced, that foreign companies would be invited to participate in the development process of the 6-generation F-X fighter jet. The announcement, published on August 25, invites companies to participate in the development phase of the F-X project and the integration of related technologies and capabilities. The Ministry’s invitation includes ongoing discussions with companies in the United States and the United Kingdom about their possible involvement in the development of the new aircraft. The Ministry’s statement states: ’We will collect qualitative information and recruit companies willing to provide such knowledge.'
According to the statement, the Japanese Ministry also calls for the technological skills of companies, technologies and knowledge to be provided.
