Tensions are running increasingly high at the border of the two countries with daily clashes and accumulation of forces. Could quickly escalate into a bigger conflict.

Lets not forget how after the Soviets left the Tajiks started the civil war in Afghanistan again.

I would suggest partitioning Tajikistan.

Out of all former soviet countries. Tajiks are actually one of the most loyal ones to Russia.

Tajiks are also loyal to Iran and China.

When it came to supporting the Uygurs getting locked up the Tajiks supported China.

Tajiks also claim Bukhara and Samarkand belongs to them.

They have land claims against all their neighbours except Iran and China.

We all know who they work for.

Bilateral relations with Kyrgyzstan has a strategic value for the United States due to factors such as Tajikistan’s getting closer to Russia and then China, Uzbekistan’s non-bloc policy, and Kazakhstan’s fear of Russia and therefore not being able to get far from Moscow and Turkmenistan’s neutrality status. This conflicit absolutly not necessary and very dangerous due Afghanistan. A weakened Tajikistan and a weakened Kyrgyzstan will be in big trouble. They will be an invaluable and fertile breeding ground for radical Islamic terrorists. Big countries need to intervene to solve the water problem by paying for the construction, if necessary, from their own treasury.

Reports of the situation keeps escalating. Tajikistan has apparently bombed airports in Kyrgyzstan, while the later has bombed locations inside Tajikistan with TB2 drones.
