IMO Egypt for Sinai.
Possible. This thing crab walks. Doubt it's cheap and can be offered to other African countries. It's a dedicated scout platform, needs a big army to work with. As far as I know, no interest has been shown by Turkey so far.

Tanks are much more expensive and bad for the African terrain.

As African countries grow their economies they will also grow their militaries.

These platforms are perfect for such terrains. There has been numerous footage of boko haram and other insurgent terrorists or rebels or easily taking down tanks with ease.

These platforms, armoured and mobile will prove effective over ifvs, apcs and tanks.

It is a light vehicle that carries a lot of firepower. Unfortunately, we don't have any alternative other than the Cockerill turret. Cockerill is very light and suitable for platforms that have weight limitations.

Agreed, no need for heavy mbts in Africa.

Only Sub Saharan country I can see having a need for platform like Akrep 2 would be Nigerians and some minors to replace their ERCs as they can't afford the Jaguar and possibly don't want to do business with France. Kenya is another. Those would be great sales. Panhard's Crab will also be a competitor to Akrep 2. Different specs, but same roles. It'll be interesting to watch.

Soon Carl Gustav "recoiless gun" will have programmable ammunitions.
As you may know, RPG7 has very slow speed and even weak winds disturb its path.

So Carl Gustav is an ideal hand Cannon. İ would like to see Carl Gustav mounted Turkish Land vehicles.

Or vehicles like Akrep 2 . If ASELSAN produced 90mm LP programmable ammunitions, Akrep 2 would open new era.

Destroying Walls , inside buildings through windows delayed explosions on open field airburst over the enemy troops etc.
BTW If you wanted to invade Greek islands, you would have to land vehicles but Tanks are too heavy.

If I'm not mistaken Otokar arma 1 got exported to UAE, under the name of Al Jasoor. It was expected that they would assemble 700 of the Arma 1 /Rabdan for 661 million USD. What is the estimates for the new Arma 2, or any of the other new IFV that is in the Tender of the Turkish army?

For M48 tanks MKE produce 105 mm M68 T1 gun is it an alternative for 90 mm as a firepower ? Also making low weight turret with 105 mm is it possible especially an unmanned one with auto loader?

Kozan Selçuk Erkan's incidents of pitting Turkish companies against each other in the shipping sector also appeared in land vehicles. 😑

Only three Turkish companies remained in the finals of Estonia's 4×4 tender.

France, Finland, Israel, Spain and Turkiye participated in the tender. Otokar Cobra, BMC Amazon, Nurol Yörük and Ejder Yalçın were shortlisted.

The vehicles in question were tested at a base in the Tapa region in northern Estonia, which is part of the Estonian Army. At this base, the vehicles' abilities such as crossing water and climbing slopes were tested. At the end of the tests, the winner will be determined and negotiations with the winner will begin in the second quarter of this year.

Karmo Saar, Director of Armored Equipment at the Estonian Ministry of Defense, said:

"The main purpose of the procurement is to arm the 2nd Brigade, for which we will need to deliver more than 200 vehicles of both 6×6 and 4×4. Both 6×6 and 4×4 are in progress, the results are not clear."

The companies' products will be weighed both technically and in terms of their after-sales services and the financial options that can be created for the purchase. I think this could be a very valuable tender, because it could mean that their products will be evaluated by an independent organization. Although, I don't sure how close Estonia is politically to which center, which vehicles have what kind of foreign subsystems, maybe I could be wrong.

After all, from the outside, the fact that only Turkish companies have made it to the short list is a serious message to Europe, showing that we are a giant in land vehicles.

Akrep 2 has similar roles to Frances Jaguar 6x6, a platform of heavy fire support outside of a tank.

This could be ideal to support Turkish forces in NATO's Very High Readiness Joint Task Force (VJTF)

Next to these in the task force

Ideally yes, but commercial terms will also play a big role - so saying the best product won will only be half of the truth.

Neverthless, good fucking news. 200 vehicles is not a small order. Biggest single order since Otokar to Oman I believe (?)
