According to the statement made by the US State Department, the cost of defense equipment and support to be donated to Lebanon is planned to be 120 million dollars this year, while 105 million dollars were provided for the same purpose last year.
In addition to the grant, which increased by $ 15 million compared to 2020, the two countries currently have an arms supply agreement of $ 1.83 billion. The US has made more than $ 2.5 billion in grants to the Lebanese Armed Forces (LAF) since 2006, according to the ministry's announcement.

It was noted that more than 6,000 personnel of the LAF have been trained in the USA since 1970. In December 2017, the US Department of Defense announced a $ 120 million grant package to provide "close air support capacity" to the LAF.
To improve the LAF's combat logistics capability, the US also announced a tactical wheeled vehicle family grant costing more than $ 45 million.

It's probably going to take time to develop the land, but I think Lebanon should do it quickly, though the economy is in tatters they should be able to find some potential investors.

It's important to settle civilians into those areas quick for the land to get the benefits (and the people of course).

Military Grant from China to Lebanon

The Lebanese Armed Forces received 60 B80VJ and 40 Sinotruk Howo vehicles from China as part of a military grant.

The delivery ceremony was held on June 11 at the Logistics Brigade in Baabda with the participation of the Chinese Ambassador to Lebanon and the Chinese military attaché.

The four-wheeled B80VJ vehicles developed by the Chinese company Beijing Auto are expected to expand the operational area of the Lebanese Armed Forces as a light attack platform. The vehicle can be equipped with a machine gun or rocket launcher.

The six-wheeled Howo was produced by Sinotruk. Speaking to Defense News, a source informed that the platforms were not sent for a specific brigade.
