Egypt won about 60 to 70% of reconstruction projects and contracts in Libya, in addition to building a power station worth $2 billion

what is happening ? These projects are supposed to go to Turkey and the rest of the well-known international companies instead of the notorious and poor quality Egyptian companies. Dabaiba's government is very weak and acquiesces to those who were fighting us yesterday, what a shame

I read an article, but cant find it right now, yesterday that said Turkey is trying to expand their area of influence in Libya and working on the release of one of the Gadafi sons and his arrival in Istanbul were part of that.

The goal is to divide Hafters sphere of influence and supporters because the GNA is not enough.

Maybe the results of the talks between Egypt and Turkey.

Turkey wants to stay in Libya and hold their EEZ with Tripoli, so Egypt wants the infrastructure projects. And a new EEZ between Turkey and Egypt. Looks like a deal.

There has been clashes between the LNA and Chadian Mercernaries.

If anybody is wondering.

Update: Sorry its actually Chadian opposition rebel fighters called the FACT. It also seems the Lna and the Fact were once allied with each other. It turns out both have turned against each other.

2 dead after 2 military helicopters crash in East Libya

Two officers were reported dead after two military helicopters crashed in eastern Libya, forces loyal to putschist Gen. Khalifa Haftar said Sunday.

The Haftar sources said the helicopters collided in the air over the village of Msus, 130 kilometers (about 81 miles) southeast of the city of Benghazi.

A two-officer crew, including Brig. Gen. Bouzied al-Barrasi, was killed in the crash, while the second helicopter crew survived, Haftar's self-styled Libyan Arab Armed Forces (LAAF) said in a brief statement. The statement did not give the cause of the crash and said the helicopters were on a military mission.

Mohammad Younes Menfi, head of Libya’s Presidential Council, mourned the two officers.

Haftar's forces control eastern and most of southern Libya. The crash came as they have been battling Chadian fighters in Libya’s southern areas on the border with Chad.

The clashes erupted last week and could further destabilize the wider Sahel region after Chadian President Idriss Deby Itno was killed in April in battles between his government and Chadian rebels.

Haftar, who is based in the eastern city of Benghazi, declared his support for the new transitional government and a “peaceful and democratic alternation of power” in Libya.

He continues to operate independently from the legitimate government and continues to lead armed militias, calling himself the commander in chief of the Libyan army.

According to Libyan official sources, Haftar's forces and affiliated militias committed war crimes and acts of genocide in the period between April 2019 and June 2020.

His offensive, supported by Egypt, France, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Russia, collapsed when the U.N.-recognized Government of National Accord (GNA) forces gained upper hand with support from Turkey.

Libya has been in turmoil since 2011 when a NATO-backed uprising toppled longtime dictator Moammar Gadhafi, who was later killed. The country was since split between rival administrations in the east and the west.

Nice

Could it be Koral 🤔

Unlikely. Both helicopters probably were flying too close to each other and clipped propellers, the one with the worse off prop fell like a lead weight while the other had some fathom of control. Is my theory on it :D

Doesn't matter how much you train pilots if they don't have any discipline.

What about these annoying Emiratis and Egyptians that they support Haftar so strongly that the GNA cannot face them alone ?

The GNA shoukd stay out of it. Turkey must negotiate with Egypt, give them all the Muslim Brotherhood fugitives they have, make peace, sign a EEZ, declaring that they stand for both the territorial integrity of Libya and Egypt and shake Sisi's hands and then the next night bomb and kill Haftar.

Egypt then cannot take a step back and wouldnt risk to break the new relations and agreements on diplomatic level for a renegade like Haftar. They will only condemn it like France and Russia in words.
