Brand new Russian military aircraft to be presented at MAKS 2021

MOSCOW. July 13 (Interfax) - The Rostec state corporation has announced the presentation of a brand new Russian military plane at the MAKS 2021 International Aviation and Space Salon.

"The United Aircraft Corporation (UAC), a component of Rostec, will present a brand new military plane on July 20, on the first day of the MAKS 2021 International Aviation and Space Salon in Zhukovsky," the corporation said.

"Russia is one of the few countries in the world that possesses technologies of full-cycle aircraft production and an acknowledged 'trendsetter' in the field of military aircraft design. We have no doubt that the new product developed by UAC specialists will evoke a genuine interest in our country and other parts of the world, including our foreign competitors," a Rostec representative said.

In his words, it will be possible to see the presentation of the new plane online, on the YouTube channels of Rostec and the UAC, and on the project website, checkmate.uacrussia.ru, where the countdown to the premiere has begun, he said.

A meeting on aviation issues will take place on the sidelines of MAKS-2021 with the participation of Russian President Vladimir Putin, Deputy Prime Minister Yuri Borisov said earlier.

As Interfax has reported earlier, MAKS-2021 will take place in Zhukovsky, Moscow region, on July 20-25. This will be the 15th International Aviation and Space Salon.

New Russian fighter to compete with US F-35 aircraft, says expert

According to the data available, the plane features low radar signatures in various bands, a high thrust to weight ratio, a large weapon payload, and advanced air-launched armaments

MOSCOW, July 13. /TASS/. The latest combat plane that Russia will unveil on the first day of the MAKS-2021 aerospace show will rival the US fifth-generation F-35 aircraft, Executive Director of Aviaport Aviation News Agency Oleg Panteleyev said on Tuesday.

"The teasers in English and the regions that the pilots presented in a video released by Rostec [state tech corporation] suggest that the domestic light fighter will be in competition with the US F-35 aircraft on foreign markets. I am certain that the fighter’s demonstration at the MAKS-2021 will create a wow effect. It is not accidental that [Russia’s state arms exporter] Rosoboronexport has invited over 120 delegations from 65 countries of the world to the aerospace show," he said.

Little is known about the plane’s performance characteristics so far, the expert pointed out. According to the data available, the latest fighter features low radar signatures in various bands, a high thrust to weight ratio, a large weapon payload and advanced air-launched armaments, the expert pointed out.

"There is no doubt that in this decade Russia will be able to restore the tandem of breakthrough aircraft platforms: the heavy Su-57 [fifth-generation fighter] and a new light plane designed to cope with tactical assignments," the expert said.

The Rostec press office announced earlier on Tuesday that Russia’s United Aircraft Corporation (UAC, part of Rostec) would feature a fundamentally new military plane on the first day of the MAKS-2021 international aerospace show in the town of Zhukovsky near Moscow. The project's official website was also unveiled, with a midnight countdown to the plane's July 20 premiere.

As a source in the domestic aircraft-building industry told TASS in the spring of this year, the Sukhoi Aircraft Company (part of the United Aircraft Corporation) is developing the first Russian single-engine light tactical fighter with supersonic speed capability and low radar signature.

The crucial point is ''New Russian fighter to compete with US F-35 aircraft'' . Apparently, the performance of the SU-57 did not satisfy Russia.

UAE needs to buy that aircraft if possible. Although the Americans would object profusely so unsure if it would be possible.

Any Halcon weapons under development can be integrated on the aircraft, and with 1000+ employees and many billions in funds in the next 10 years it will be able to develop most conventional weapons.

29.06.2021 Press release

Rosoboronexport JSC (part of the Rostec State Corporation) will be the official sponsor of the MAKS-2021 International Air Show, which will be held from July 20 to 25 at the Gromov Flight Research Institute’s airfield in Zhukovsky, near Moscow.

"For Rosoboronexport, MAKS was and remains the premier venue to show its partners the best export versions of Russian aircraft and armaments, air defense and electronic warfare assets, including new products no air show in Zhukovsky can do without. In 2021, we have invited more than 120 delegations from 65 countries and are going to unveil the IL-112B, IL-114-300 aircraft, Ka-32A11M, Ansat-M, Mi-171A3 helicopters, as well as the S-350 Vityaz long-range SAM system," said Alexander Mikheev, Director General of Rosoboronexport.

In addition, among the new products launched at MAKS-2021, the virtual reality Su-35 and Su-57E pilot station simulators, presented by Sukhoi (a Rostec subsidiary), will surely be of interest to foreign partners.

At its stand in Pavilion C2, Rosoboronexport will showcase the Globe touch-screen-based interactive multimedia installation. With this installation, visitors will be able to see 38 3D models of advanced defense products, their performance data, and view photos and videos. In addition, scaled models of the IL-76MD-90A(E) military transport aircraft, Mi-35M transport/attack helicopter, Ka-52 scout/attack helicopter, Mi-26T2 heavy-lift transport helicopter, and the Mi-17V-5 military transport helicopter (an export version of the Mi-8MTV-5 helicopter) will be on display at the stand.

Rosoboronexport also prepared multimedia presentations of products promoted in external markets such as the Su-35, MiG-35/35D, IL-76MD-90A(E) and IL-78MK-90A aircraft, Ka-52, Mi-28NE, Mi-35M, Mi-35P, Mi-17V-5, Mi-8AMTSh-VA, Mi-171Sh and Mi-38T helicopters, air defense systems and equipment: S-400 air defense missile system, Viking, Buk-M2E, Tor-M2KM, Tor-M2 SAM systems, Pantsir-S1M and Pantsir-S1 SPAAGM systems, Verba and Igla-S MANPADS, radars and EW systems.

As part of MAKS-2021’s business program, Rosoboronexport plans to carry out activities aimed to promote military and civilian products under ongoing joint action programs with Rostec’s subsidiaries United Aircraft Corporation (UAC), Russian Helicopters, and High-Precision Weapons, as well as with the Almaz-Antey Air and Space Defense Corporation.

"The main goal of Rosoboronexport at MAKS-2021 is to exploit all the opportunities to translate keen interest in Russian equipment into new contracts and replenish its order portfolio. To this end, we’ll make a presentation of the latest aerospace technologies, as well as discuss with foreign partners their possible participation in the implementation of joint projects," Alexander Mikheev added.

Russia’s United Aircraft Corporation (UAC, part of the state tech corporation Rostec) is waiting until Tuesday, July. 20 to unveil the new military aircraft.

In a teaser released today, the UAC announced that it will demonstrate a new military plane on the first day of the MAKS-2021 international aerospace show.

“Russia is one of the few countries of the world that possesses full-cycle technologies to produce advanced aircraft systems and is a recognized trendsetter in creating combat planes. We are convinced that the new product developed by UAC specialists will evoke a genuine interest both in our country and in other regions of the world, including among our rivals abroad,” the press office said in a statement.

Rostec also opened the project’s website, where a countdown of the plane’s debut show on July 20 began overnight to Tuesday, the statement says.

It was reported earlier that Russia had launched work on a new tactical aviation aircraft platform to develop a light fighter jet. In late 2019, the MiG Aircraft Corporation placed an order on the government’s procurement website for the “aerodynamic design of a light multirole frontline aircraft based on a two-engine scheme,” which is due to be developed in 2020-2025.

When ppl ignore the fact.

The NEW programs against US F22 and F35 presented by russians
Su30 <- did not satisfy russia.
Su33<- did not satisfy russia.
Su35 <- did not satisfy russia.
Su57 <- did not satisfy russia.

All above fighters were presented by russia as new inovation (we already know that it is old junk with some new parts) and they claim ( actually they trolling )that the platforms are better than usa new fighters F22 and F35.

I know russian metality and thier work products, they never able to suprise me.
Ppl which follow the facts and analysis, think can find what it is actual value of russian pseudo new junk as it is coming from known russian propagand shit.
Just as ppl which know russian always say "Give russian little bit more time to show off themself and then you will see real things"

Also there is russian saying and it is based on Facts
"Хотели как лучше, а получилось как всегда"
The literal translation is "We wanted to make it better, and it came out as always". new painted junk

We are not at 60-70s guys.
I don't want to repeat myself about current russian state of invoation as I already expained that in other topics. It is known fact.
I just want say that russians desperatly want old customers/countries to come and get new/jenks.

As russians/ppl like to called -> russians need thier "Cows to be milked "
So movie already saying it. "Cows to be milked " india, vietnam, araps, south america as old customers of russian platforms

so russians now start once AGAIN as they do for Su30 Su33 Su35 Su57 new trolling campaign.
All above "Cows" are hiped

Let's see how this compares to the F-35. Maybe this time the Russians actually have a real 5th Gen Fighter on their hands.

Looks very similar to F-35 except tail section. I think it is just mockup.

If the last picture is the real shape of the fighter. Then pfff  It is Mig 21 reshaped to look like 5th generation fighter
Its not exactly the same but similar from what I see. Really strange shape. But maybe they put something to conceal the shape. Soon we will see.

It also has strange belly. Maybe it is a detachable weapons pod?
