I know that the 6 nm was a big mistake, but unfortunately as long as we don't establish institutions to safeguard our rights, our politicians will always be the ones to ruin for our nation.

I kinda find many similarities on the suggestions from those three gentlemen.

ret. adm. Gürdeniz is saying that Turkey was a poor republic and had to build up slowly and struggle a lot, and now that we've come to this point we're reaching out to places and countries where we have descendants, wanting to help them become stronger.

Some "crazy" speculations going on in Greece medias about the lend of the two Fremm DA (Fremm with enhenced air defence capabilities) Alsace and Lorraine currently being built for the French navy the time new frigates are built for the Greek navy. The issue was reportedly discussed between the French and Greek defence ministers. While the French ministry of defence said there's no plans to lease the two frigates to Greece, the political power is the one making final decisions.

  • Either restore relations with Israel or Egypt.
  • Start talks with Lebanon.
  • Agreements with Syria (if you like or not but we can't continue with our Syria politics forever)
  • Stop the stupid meetings with Hamas, in times were we have problems with the EU we shouldn't also piss more on the US. Let MIT handle this at least don't make it public.
  • Invest in North Cyprus, we have the KEY but we don't use it, other countries would sell their left nut for such a strategic position.
  • We also have to invite some foreign companies into our EEZ for Gas & Oil searching. Not giving them the huge part of the cake like the Greeks are doing but a small portion to keep their goverments quiet. Preferable countries such as Germany or Britain.
Can you believe that Arabs and Jews are allies against us? That's a fooking miracle.

  • Restoring relations with Egypt is a no-go and Israel has little to offer Turkey. They want to stay as neutral as possible in the Med while they have their hands full with Iran.
  • The Lebanese Christians and Shia politicians hate Turkey and the Sunni's are in bed with the Saudi's.
  • Agreement with Syria vis-a-vis Idlib and Olive Branch and Peace Spring areas is unrealistic.
  • Agreed on Hamas and MIT.
  • TAF and Naval base in North Cyprus is a must
  • Agreed, keep them happy and silent.

While the Israeli's see these allies with the Arabs as a detente against primarily Iran, the Arabs see it as a detente against Turkey. The differences are too big for the Israeli's and Arabs to really come together and there is not going to be a lot of geopolitical and strategic profit coming out of these new relations for either side.

Agree with most of it. You know the one country we should get aboard is Italy, because they do have an interest in keeping France from dominating the Med or EastMed.

I like the Greek people, but all of these tensions will lead to Greece needing another bailout. Turkeys finances are already strained too, so there are only a handful of countries benefiting from the conflict. France being one of them. It would be in the interest of both countries to solve this issue once and for all.

Israel and Turkey gain from an agreement on common EEZ borders, i don't say we should ally with them but get the job done and benefit from it.
Same with Egypt, but their strings are pulled from Abu Dhabi so it's pretty unrealistic for now...

Israel knows that without Turkey on board no pipeline, they know that Turkey is the best way to transfer gas to Europe.

Syrians have to return back to their country, we have to invite Assad and the Opposition and discuss about a solution.
In the long term they are economic and internal wise a burden for us. Also who's saying that they will not split into Kurdish like seperatist groups in the future?
Don't forget they are not guests but refugees and when the situation is cleared they have to move back.

The planned pipeline is going through Turkish waters, even by Greek definitions of the EEZ. The gas prices are low and the long ass pipeline is expensive, I dont think it will be realized anytime soon.

I don't know about the Italians, they are not reliable in my opinion.
They maybe share common interests in Libya but that doesn't mean they share it in the Eastern Mediterranean. Since ENI hired by Greeks was escorted out by the Turkish Navy. Changing their stance is always possible you only have to convince them = $$$.

But the Germans are pretty much left out of it so a good opportunity to invite them in and give a small piece for their service in EU politics.

Do not count on the situation to be solved. As long as Bashar is in power, no country of value is going to engage in a meaningful way with Syria. Bashar will not voluntarily leave. Nobody is going to fork the $300 bilion dollar to reconstruct Syria, not even when a fully democratic government takes control over Syria. Syria is a lost cause.

If i were Israel, i would wait for 3 years in the next elections Erdogan will be gone. Repair relations with Turkey than, just make a pipeline to Ceyhan.

I would make them the pipeline and simply destroy it when they are about to place them trough Turkish EEZ.

Some news ;

According to Greece medias a strategic partnership between France and Greece will be signed in the coming weeks which also include a mutual defence agreement which translates to the intervention of French armed forces in case Greece is attacked.

Greece will buy 18 Rafales. 12 second hand and 6 new. Other contracts could include another batch of NH90s and the acquisition of missiles. (unspecified)

France and Greece are now negociating for the acquisition of 4 FDI frigates instead of 2 as initially planned. Negociations were stuck but seems tensions with Turkey accelerated things.

That is to be expected. The thing is. Who’s going to fire first. France isn’t stupid enough to make a deal that would cover Greece if Greece should be the first to fire.

Best that can be done in case of first attack is muddy the information and cover it up.
