MBF Group SA reported that its offers submitted in two procurement procedures run by Bangladesh’s Directorate General Defence Purchase were rejected at the technical evaluation stage, after DGDP did not accept documentation related to the required ISO certificate. As a result, the company’s participation in these tenders ended without progressing to financial evaluation or contract awards, and MBF Group is awaiting any possible official DGDP documentation that might clarify the outcome.
Despite this setback, MBF Group emphasized that the rejection of its bids does not affect the validity of its framework cooperation agreement with Dhaka‑based The Blue Falcon. Both parties intend to continue developing joint projects in defence, security and dual‑use technologies, including actively promoting MBF’s drone projects on the Bangladesh market and organising presentations for the armed forces and state administration.
The Blue Falcon has confirmed preliminary, non‑binding interest in up to 10 IRYDA+ X1 systems for testing and evaluation and requested an expression of interest draft from MBF Group. The partner also committed to arranging initial meetings and demonstrations for relevant Bangladeshi institutions, which could support future commercialisation of MBF Group’s solutions in the region, even though the current DGDP tenders did not result in contracts.
