Medog county in South Tibet, the last county being connected by the roads with rest of China
What the remotest town sitting on China-India border is like in south Tibet today, the last town being connected with the rest of China by roads in 2013, the roads climb over the mighty Himalaya's mountain chains from the northern side to the southern side, an unimaginable engineering feat. It took China 58 years to complete this road.
Medog has a favourable climate caused by the relatively low elevations, most of the region is covered by tropical rain forest.
