The clearing of Zap is one of the most important military successes in the history of the republic. The remaining terrorists are completely deadlocked. They will either dead or surrender.
It is an incredibly challenging geography. For 40 years, pkk organized fortifications and passageways in these regions and improved their shelter facilities. All passages were trapped and there are caves everywhere. Mehmetçik cleared the region by stepping on every inch of soil at high altitudes with harsh slopes and in places where it is not even possible to walk. All caves and tunnels were entered one by one.
The terrorist organization's social media accounts were spreading propaganda that this place is not even like Afrin, you will get lost in the mountains. This is such a challenging geography that it would not be an exaggeration to say that there is no other commando in the world that can complete this Zap operation so successfully. By destroying the PKK in Zap, the TSK has lowered the terrorist organization's guard. The Turkish Armed Forces have opened the way to Kandil, and are now in a position to sever the terrorist organization's Syria-Iraq connection when desired. The TAF has destroyed the terrorist organization's connection from Iraq to Turkiye. Smuggling activities have slowed down considerably. Most importantly, by securing the Iraqi region, the TAF has been able to turn its attention back to Syria. Now it is time to unite the pieces in Syria.

Unfortunately weather started worsening up. There is very bad fog and heavy snowfall in the area. Visibility is 2 meters. The terrorists are playing a risky game by sending raiding teams in these conditions but unfortunately due to the bad visibility our brothers can't react earlier and we suffered casualties in the last attacks. After this attack 9 terrorists were killed in the area.
Terrorists have a perfect infiltration route to Seri Tepe where our heroes were martyred. The terrorists have control over the hill opposite to Seri Tepe. There is also a tunnel network in that area. They infiltrate trough a route that's breaking the line of sight of the Seri Tepe outpost and crossing trough a creek. Combined with the terrain at the creek and also the bad visibility they manage to infiltrate and attack the closest outpost on their route which is Seri Tepe. There were several attacks in the area lately but unfortunately in their latest raid we got casualties.
Unfortunately today around noon we suffered another attack in Parasiya area. Two-three terrorist groups infiltrated from Gapnerk Mountain and attacked our soldiers from the back. There were signs that terrorists returned to the mountain earlier but due to bad weather nothing could have been done. Regardless of the bad weather and the disadvantage our soldiers managed to show their strength, fought back and neutralized 3 terrorists in the outpost area and captured at least 1 more (visually confirmed). There may be more casualties on the terrorists side.
Unfortunately in this attack 3 soldiers made the ultimate sacrifice and prevented even a larger tragedy. Infantry Specialist Sergeant Eyyup UGURLU, Infantry Enlisted Private Mehmet DEMIR, Infantry Enlisted Private Hakan KOROGLU were martyred. May Allah accept their martyrdom!
In a non-combat related accident Infantry Sergeant Mustafa ISIK was struck by a lightning and fell martyr. May Allah accept his martyrdom!

We have some good news from today's activities.
According to PKK sources at least 7 terrorist's bodies are left in TSK's hands after the last two unfortunate attacks.
Terrorists tried the same tactic and infiltration route in Seri Tepe area. This time our Commandos ambushed the terrorists and managed to capture 4 terrorists alive and one of the terrorists dead. I am sure some good intel will be taken from the 4 terrorists regarding PKK's tunnel network, positions and infiltration routes.
More than that our Commandos managed to clean a PKK tunnel and killed 5 terrorists inside.

Infantry Specialist Sergeant Halil Ibrahim IYGIT fell martyr. He was wounded in the yesterday's attack on our forces in Parasiya and unfortunately succumbed to his wounds. May Allah accept his martyrdom!
