Troops affiliated with the Turkish Armed Forces were deployed on the hill line between Hetit and Linik within the scope of the Claw-Lock operation.

This summer, bases were established on the entire 12km summit line of Linik. Linik is Zap's most dominant area. Although more than 15 terrorists were neutralized this year, the terrorist presence under the hill continues. In the past weeks, we gave 1 martyr and took 2 PKK terrorists.

It seems that the region between Hetit and Linik will not be left empty.

1 > The villagers had been reporting that they had been seeing soldiers on this hill line for months.

2 > PKK is not there because the Barzanis have a power plant.

3 > Peshmerga is establishing 2 new bases to protect the power plant.

Operations also continue in the Claw Lightning area of operations. During search and destroy activities 1 cave and 5 shelters belonging to terrorists were found. A lot of living materials were seized in caves and shelters.

2 terrorists were killed in a MIT UCAV strike in Suleymaniye/Ranya area. The terrorists were on foot. There are also wounded in the strike. Looks like our forces are becoming more and more aggressive taking out targets in close proximity to civilian infrastructure. We are talking about a very risky operation. Anti-personnel MAM-L was used.

4 drones lost in last six months. While not losing pilots is good, this still a loss of at least 50 million dollars in 2 Ankas, an Aksungur and a TB2. Hope it’s not a sign of something.

The landing gear on the left of the picture of the Aksungur is French. Beringer.

Also if thos was an engine failure, that says a lot about whether it's even possible to produce a jet fighter engine in the next few years

Why? Please enlight us, with your knowledge.

After human error the most aviation crashes are caused by mechanical errors most of the time engine failures. The F-16 has over 600 mishaps, go check out how many caused by engine failure.

Beringer makes wheel assemblies and more importantly brake systems for light vehicles like aircraft and motorbikes. Baylar also uses(or used to use) them.

Aside from this being too early to say anything, an in production diesel engine like PD-170 failing in flight doesn’t mean much for a turbofan engine. Not sure how can we reach that.

Engine development is all trial and error.

Along with testing alongside maturity which take decades.

Regardless if its tanks, cars, f1 or even jet fighters. It comes with positives and negatives.

If it was engine failure this means the engine will have to be improved. If it was downed by combat related issue this will lead to more improvements and countermeasures.

I doubt PKK has downed the Aksungur as they have no capabilties to down it even their Manpads cant reach the Aksungurs altitude.

Manpads maybe not, what about medium range AD?

Do we know what the US has handed the YPG? We lost 4 drones since June this year, 2 of them in the Kandil area

If the pkk or ypg operating such ADs wouldnt it be exposed already?

It could be Us electronic warfare or maybe the Usa downed it.

Usa downing our drones basically sends a message to us that we are with the pkk/ypg through and through.

I dont think Iranians ews are powerful but they cant be discounted either.

If it was exposed we would already hunt for the AD systems. We don't know.

We also do not know whether our drones were shot down (except one in Syria that was downed by the US F16) or crashed due to internal failure (is possible too)

What we do know is that we lost 4 drones within 6 months (2 in Kandil area, one in Gara area, all in Iraq, and one in Syria) that we cannot rule out whether or not they have been shot down. It is very possible that YPG/PKK got MR AD systems from the US.

Such a system is not something that can go under the radar of the intelligence. This is not a system that you can hide like that. The moment such system arrives it will be hit.

MANPADS or/and malfunctions are the likely causes.

4 drones gone TSK as usual have no clue. At least 100 million USD is evaporated. Why did we pay billions to E-7Ts? They would detect manpads and koral should detect EW attacks. Send them to border to investigate constantly from now on. Sheesh. When will TSK wake up, after 44 drones?

Mount Gara peak (ex palace of Saddam) has altitude of 2017 meters. Kandil peak is 3587 meters. If operational altitude of our drones are around 20.000 feet (6096 meters) that high of a firing altitude puts our drones well in the range of MANPADs (up to 4000 m). I personally did not see any shrapnel. So it could be a hit to kill type MANPAD.

TSK more than likely have some ideas of what happened. What will they publicly share is another question.

CEO of Anduril Palmer Lucky is talking about pumping CO2 into tunnels to make the enemy give up. A technique worth considering, IMO.
