Strong, Determined, Powerful! As a result of the coordinated work of the Turkish Armed Forces and MIT, 3 PKK terrorists, who were detected in Metina in the north of Iraq and planned the attacks of the organization, were neutralized with an air operation. We will continue to destroy terrorists in their lairs!

28 targets were destroyed and over 20 aircraft participated in the operations which took place in Suleymaniye's Asos mountains which are ~200km deep in Iraq. This is the biggest strike of that kind on such a depth in Iraq.

Twenty-Eight terrorist targets determined in northern Iraq’s Assos region were eliminated through an air operation in coordination with the National Intelligence Organization (MIT), the Defense Ministry said Tuesday.

The ministry in a written statement said that 28 terrorist targets including shelters, ammunition depots, so-called headquarters and caves were destroyed with an air operation including more than 20 planes.

The Turkish military regularly conducts cross-border operations in northern Iraq. Turkey has long been stressing that it will not tolerate terrorist threats posed against its national security and has called on Iraqi officials to take the necessary steps to eliminate the terrorist group. Ankara previously noted that if the expected steps were not taken, it would not shy away from targeting terrorist threats.

Turkey launched Operations Claw-Lightning and Claw-Thunderbolt on April 23 in northern Iraq’s Metina and Avaşin-Basyan regions near its borders.
Numerous PKK terrorist hideouts and bases are located in northern Iraq, from where they carry out attacks on Turkey.

US is working hard to get IKRG and PKK/YPG/PYD/SDF to work together. While Turkey (Because of RTE and AKP) are paying attention to Afghanistan US is working on the terrorist state issue.

They have been trying for decades still nothing because the Kurds are not a monolithic entity.

The problem is that these terrorist entities are depopulating the areas under their control and only keep the people/ethnicity they want. e.g. depopulating a region from turks/arabs and keeping Kurds and even tolerating kurds who're oppose to them to indoctrinate their youth and such.

If Turkey's economy were good and we bagged 100 B USD in treasury every year, I'd implement same doctrine to repopulate regions with Turks.

RTE and AKP are paying attention to Afghanistan because of an imminent refugee crisis that might trigger a civil war inside Turkey; while on the other hand, The US doesnt have to worry about refugees at all. Even the refugees they helped to escape from Afghanistan are thrown in metallic storehouses in Qatar.

As for the USA helping the IKRG and PKK/YPG work together; this has been the case ever since Erdo began the campaign to root them out from Iraq and Syria. This is nothing new. USA has everything it needs to do so, from money to radicals and as I said before, it is the perfect move to disrupt Turkey internally

Again, nothing new in what you said
Ever since Syrian civil war began, and the zones arround the turkish border in iraq and syria became lawless this has been the case

And as I said before, The idea of KURDISTAN is akin to fake religion; ppl are bound to believe in it especially when they are of the ethnic group in question. The problem isnt about money. Have you forgotten how Turkey got HATAY province from Syria? Repopulating the area with Turks isnt that expensive tbh. The main problem is who will allow you to do so!!

The PKK are doing that with the blessing of the USA. Moreover, since IKRG is starting to be more proactive, it supports my theory (previously stated in another thread, that the IKRG is also USA made in order to divide the SUNNI nations into fragments that cant co-operate at all to ensure that they remain weak)

The problem isnt in the government itself. The problem in who is the government facing against. You arent facing the PKK alone. The PKK is just the public face; what you are facing against is the USA itself along with other western countries
Just look at the political backlash Erdo gets whenever he controls a city in Iraq or Syria while the US doesnt even feel a shred of sadness when a Turkish soldier dies but condemn Turkey when they attack the so-called "weak pitiful kurds"

Kurds for centuries have depopulated these places.

Honestly the Ottomans are to blame here as we saw the Kurds as a wall against Turkic ran Iran like the Safavids, Afsharids and the Qajars. Turks that ran Iran were a threat lets not forget how the Safavids used the Alevis against the Ottoman Empire. West also used Alevis like Seyit Riza against Ataturk.

Kurds even kurdified some Turks and Chechens. The problem is we did not settle enough Turks to balance out the region you also had Armenians and Assyrians living in the region kept Kurdish ambitions in check until they rebelled against us so the Turks and Kurds became allies until they turned against each other.

The Kurds are tribal and not a monolithic entity a lot of the tribal and conservative parts oppose the pkk and other leftist nonsense.

Krg is also dependant on Turkiye in a lot of things. Turks warned Barzani do not ever think doing a independance referendum or you will suffer the fallout of it.

They lost oil rich Kirkuk without even firing a shot to the Iraqis.

Honestly our biggest allies are the Iraqi Turkmens. We need to support them and help them in nearly everything same with Syrian Turkmens.
