Why wouldn't the USA just use some drone strikes? What was the imperative on the eve of russian/ukraine conflict they needed to bring attention to idlib? The region they control is filled to the brim with pkk terrorists and their sympathisers.

When it came to the iranian general they simply used drone strikes. When it comes to tarnishing a 3rd states reputation they conduct a style of operation that brings a circus of media attention with.

don't use this forum as a place to push sdf/pkk propaganda. isis was just a tool to legitimise the pkk and the westerners aspirations to balkanise the region to the benefit of Isreal.

These are not statements from the PKK so how can it be classed as propaganda?

there is no such thing as a Greater Israel plan. A Greater Turkey plan on the other hand... :)

you are fooling no one. This is why your boys always lose wars. You think playing these games win wars. When the war comes these low life tricks mean nothing.

Research the yinon plan as far as greater isreal is concerned, there are other plans i could bring up.

all the other stuff you claimed was nonsense, the pkk and her affiliates including the stinky ypg are extreme left wing marxists.

So don't come on here with that pkk properganda style of associating Turkey with Isis and promoting the PKK as western liberals.

As for a greater Turkey, thats what happens when you attack us. We start fighting and lord knows Turks know how to fight. They tried to wipe us out in cyprus we annexed half the island. They tried to create a pkkistan in syria and iraq and we are on our way to annexing both regions. The armenians tried to make claims on Turkey for the region the pkk make claims on and Turkey pulled the trigger, the result armenia got crushed. The greeks and her western backers tried to cut Turkey out of the east med now we moved into Libya.

You want a Turkish empire that maybe lasts another thousand years, keep attacking us, keep insulting us, keep making demands of our land. You will get your new Turkish empire.

"Oded Yinon published an article in an obscure magazine Prospects..." - hmm ok? seems like something taken out of context for anti-semitism.

KRG isn't PKK'istan.

By all means annex us, more Kurds are good for Turkey's political and cultural trajectory. We are brothers separated by artificial borders.

I didn't associate Turkey with ISIS, I don't believe Turkey supports ISIS. I insinuated that ISIS leadership seem to think they are particularly safe near the border of Turkey compared to anywhere else. Maybe he likes shopping in Turkey.

Something is off about this operation. Before they claimed that the guy blew himself up, there were reports that US operatives tried to breach the compound but couldn't due to heavy machine gun fire and decided "f**k it, bomb the whole thing" and launched a missile at it. Then afterwards it turned out there were like a dozen dead women and children in there as well.

It's possible that we really did screw up the operation and are claiming that the compound was destroyed as a result of a suicide bombing to avoid the bad publicity. The last thing Biden needs is another international PR disaster.

It would also partially explain why sensitive electronics were removed as it might be possible for a third-party to recover them and find out how badly the op went.

Politically speaking iraq and syria are failed states, both created by western powers to begin with.

Culturally Syria and Iraq have nothing to offer Turkey. We don't need anymore tribal politics, incest marriages, or female genital mutilation. We certainly dont need anymore islamist extremists or extremist communists following a corrupt ideology that has no business in Turkey or with Muslims for that matter.

If anything Turkey ruling these places would improve them.

By all means this is not like operation eagle claw. Lots of conflicting reports about on how it ended.

Im thinking they tracked him down either tried to kill him or capture him in a raid. That did not workout so they blew the place up or maybe isis ring leader panicked not to get captured so he maybe blew himself up.

Interesting how US Special forces had to blow up their own stealthy black hawk helicopter so it does not end up in anybodys hands.

Black stealthy black hawks are the elusive helicopters which everybody talks about. Still wreckage is not good pr. In a sof operation least thing you want is your equipment not working.

What was used is the classic MH-60M heli.....

The nose of a 160th SOAR MH-60M Black Hawk in the outskirts of Atmeh (Idlib), where a US helicopter was destroyed by an airstrike. The cause of the US helicopter loss is a technical malfunction.

The cause of the US helicopter loss is an RPG to the tail between the tail Rotor and the body in a 2-3 hour long clash.

The MH-60M has the ability to deal with such threats, it has the most advance threat detections & defensive countermeasures.

No, it cant. MH-60M can't stop an RPG round fired from a close range unless it has something like an active protection system that is in use on the tanks. Technical malfunction is also bullshit. When you go for such a high-level spec op you take your best chopper that is in tip-top shape. Technical failure is most likely a bullshit cover of bombing the chopper.
