Look at how many Arabs celebrate any harm against Turkey, while Turkey feeds and homes millions of Arabs. When you look at the Muslim world as a whole its no surprise that its been reduced to shit status globally.

with all do my respect to you , don't spared these false accusations on the arabs and how they hate turkey . your judgement is full of hate and ignorance to the arabs because of some funded garbages and TV shows that is owned by arab dictatorships .

-If there was a fair vote on arab world they will vote to be ruled by turkey rather been ruled by are CIA dictatorships.

-When Turkey raped the Assad forces in 2020 , all arabs cheered seeing the assads , russias and irans militia being cut by the turkish drons .

-When some saudi asshole on twitter started the boycott on turkish product , we all seen how the turkish products sales sky rocketed in Kuwait , Qatar , UAE and Jorden as a support to turkey .

I suppose I've never personally met an Arab who behaved positively towards Turkey. To make matters worse we rarely ever see Arabs online talking in favour of the Turks. For every arab who says a positive word we find a thousand who has something negative to say.

this is his acc
Sorry, I misunderstood you
Thought that when you mentioned Arab analyst, You meant this newspaper as most arab analyst normally post in this, Almonitor, or sky news

https://www.arabnews.com/

Doesnt change my analysis though
Erdo wont go away from Syria
He finally managed to take the fight with the PKK away from Turkey; he wont lose that no matter what and the presence of a large military convoy going to Syria is a sign of this

Population aside, there is no arab regime or state that is willing to work on fair grounds and in good faith with Turkey beside Qatar. They screwed syrian arabs and abandoned them and now Turkey remained only state actor that pursuit some kind of justice based solution, while others slowly sucking up to accept assad again.
If the stupid arab leaders had any vision, 20 years ago when Erdogan came to power they had unique opportity to make Turkey superpower with investments and in process secure themself and be less dependent from the washington good will and iran sectarian hegemony.

Typical Russia, show what you want before you've even sat at the negotiation table.

On a side note:

Lots of speculation that Turkey may abandone Idlib in exchange for more gains in north Syria". However, Turkey will only leave Idlib if it can be guaranteed that Syrians are "squeezed elsewhere in Syria especially another bit of SDF territory, if they can get that then it is even better. This takes time but it is more likely to happen - maybe in stages - than not."

Another thought is that Turkey may leave land south and including the M4 highway (This is the road that links Aleppo with Latakia and forms the connection with the M5 highway- leading to Damascus). (As seen by land south of the black line. This would once again be in exchange for gains in NE Syria - however, this would need Russian and US approval.

Once again, this is the only viable option to maintain regional influence, return Syrian refugees, and effectively end Turkish involvement in the Syrian War.
(Recovering land north of the green line)

By maintaining control over the entirety of northern Syria, Turkey could shift its focus on reinforcing areas and prevent the expansion of terror organisations/extremism. Furthermore, by providing layers of defence e.g. similar to Israel's 'Iron Dome' and implementing land bases, Turkey could then begin to build permanent infrastructure, rather than refugee camps, potentailly attracting Syrian citizens to return.

Additionally, though far fetched thinking, if Turkey helped rebels re-capture Northern Latakia, Syrians living in the North would have access to the sea, therby removing the need for goods to be transported through Hatay - decreasing the likelihood of terror acts along the border.

Good solution but I cant trust Russia one bit thats the problem.

Also if idlib falls its going to be 3 million refugees.

Stiff up defence on idlib, make operation towards manbij and kobani, threaten allepo, you can raise stakes to, you have plemty of military respnces on table but impression is that diplomatically Turkey hangs by itself and that is the main issue, usa, eu, iran and arab states are with russia and assad on this.
So, rational move as you do not want to abandon idlib is to make counter move on larger scale and change game rules, this small tit for tat is not in your favour. But that is also dangerous for Turkey stability amd international reputaion, frenkly iit seems what ever you do you will do wrong, it looks like that to me.

^this.

I also think that once the americans left, it will be easier to manage the russians since it will be either a direct diplomatic fall out with a limited hot clash where the TSK will establish that zone

or the russians will agree to this demand and this conflict will slowly reach its end.

He's also entirely predictable. He won't move until he has no choice too, that means the Russians every time fall into the same cycle. So expect some Turkish troops to be killed again, its gearing up in that direction with erdogans constant inaction.

If turkish troops get killed it means the TSK will take matter into its own hands.

The Turkish public will be out in the streets calling for blood and Erdogan himself knows he cant hide from it.

If Erdogan stands down this could lead to a coup or even the army going rogue which means the army will take matters into its own hands.

All I can say his career could easily end just like that. No way this can be ignored any longer.

Remember how 33 Turkish soldiers were martyred that even the Turkish people wanted to burn down the Russian embassy because thats how pissed off they were.

Yeah i also remember how erdogan and ak party owned media were trying to hide the news from the Turkish people. Erdogan is good at fooling islamists, but he's a shockingly poor diplomat and politician.

When you got a clown like erdogan in power, you end up with disasters like syria.

When they tried to hide it, the Russians further took the piss by releasing the footage the recorded of the strike. Then idlib retaliation comes and first thing erdogan does is beg for a meeting with putin.

Absolute coward, such a weak leader.

10 years in and the syrian mess continues to haunt Turkey. No answers from these useless thieves.

Should be some kind of retaliation but not everything is just black and white like some people in this forum is trying to portray it. In the end of the day its a matter for the dawla. Pressure from the people will push the turkish leaders to retaliate. Erdogan is no fool like this goat is trying to portray him. We have to remember that the matters of goverment stays within the goverment, we as laymen dont have every information about everything. Its so many cards that are been played with right now and dont seem like turkey wants to halt her development. What do you think?

There is a clear escalation. The Russians are bombing Idlib as we are bombing PKK/Regime areas. There is no such thing as they are bombing Idlib while we are doing nothing. Our artillery is working almost all day long. The news of strikes are so much that I don't even bother to share the news. Remember that if we don't share extensively this doesn't mean that the situation is calm.
