Until Erdogan meets with Biden on the 31st October don't expect to see anything major happening (i.e. operation).

Very unfortunate and quite depressing situation.

Unfortunatelly, this conditions are unsustainable, there is no operational depth in teritory to protect civilians and military personal from such atacks. Now i am more resignated then frustrated knowing that this will be repeated on and on, who knows how many times.

Simple erdogan has no balls.

TSK has all these weapons capable of striking these ypg terrorists but nope we resort to artillery strikes.

This is the price to pay when civilians run the military. Now you have terrorists killing your soldiers.

Each time these terrorist pieces of shit kill your soldiers or even civilians they get emboldened they do it constantly because of no heavy reaction to their actions.

Yeah you totally need a meeting with Biden to act appropriate against terrorists.

This is just showing the whole world how much empty talk they are…

I give you a lesson from history.

Sultan Abdulhamid I got paralysed and died from a broken heart when he heard of what happened when Ismail fortress collapsed to Russian forces and the Turkish soldiers along with Turkish and Tatar civlians were massacred.

But we have Tayyip laughing and joking when 33 soldiers were killed in Idlib in 2020.

This just shows what politicians all think of their soldiers. All of them regardless of who they are.

On twitter freedom for ocalan is trending.

I think we should hang him or let firing squad do the job. Or we should make his death look like an accident.

That piece of shit does not deserve to live.

YPG/SAA artillery bombing Azez area. Unfortunately a Turkish vehicle is hit. No information on casualties at the moment.

Solution is simple.. if those *uckers attack Azez, Afrin from Tall Rifat.. Bomb them in Kobane or Al Hasakah.. They are cowardly attacking under Russian skirt.. Okay.. But they are still YPG / PKK.. And if Russian planes bomb our guys, bomb Esad's gang 10 times in return, bear will get the warning, it is the only thing it understands. Reciprocity (Mütekabiliyet).

Some people say we wait Biden meeting.
For what exactly?
Do you believe Biden will "give us the green light" to strike back?

Or you think we will just use it to show we tried diplomacy as if media will not demonise us regardless?

Existential threat is existential threat. If it means to take up on the superpowers then it shall be.

What do you guys think the leadership are waiting for? We all can say we not happy that a heavy retalation is not taking place, but the question is what is happening behind the scenes?

Nothing that's the point.

"Behind the scene" don't know if i should laugh about such comments. Just look when the last operation was (2 years ago), the USA is still supporting them with weapons and provides military training. Does the YPG need M2 Bradley, Artillery etc. to fight those few ISIS sleeper cells?

Get lost with your biased bullshit, what the f... do you still talking here?

"It's easier to ask for forgiveness than permission."

Seems oddly relevant to the situation the TAF is right now.

Sometimes, what you need is a bit of rebel spirit and confidence.

Within limits, of course, but I think Turkey has some room to work with here.

Turkey retaliates against YPG shelling from northern Syria

Turkish security forces retaliated after five mortar shells were fired from an area controlled by the PKK terrorist group's Syrian offshoot, the YPG, landing in Turkey’s southeastern Gaziantep province Monday.

Two of the shells landed near the customs area, one fell on a roof of a home, one landed near the military compound and another fell in a park in Karkamış town center, Ihlas News Agency (IHA) reported.

Authorities cordoned off the specified areas and began assessing the damage at the park and house. No casualties have been reported, however, material damage has occurred.

Turkish security forces retaliated in kind immediately after the attack, in line with rules of engagement, the report said.

Occasional stray rockets and mortars land in southern and southeastern Turkey due to the conflict in neighboring Syria. Despite a cease-fire in the country, violence still persists in the area.

Kilis and Gaziantep, which are home to large numbers of Syrian refugees, have suffered repeatedly from cross-border shelling. Particularly in 2016 when rocket fire was an almost daily occurance in small towns.

On Aug. 24, 2016, Turkey declared that it was exercising its rights of self-defense as stipulated under the U.N. Charter Article 51, and launched Operation Euphrates Shield to clear terrorist groups along Turkey's Syria border, including the YPG and Daesh.

Turkey has reiterated that it will not allow an independent terrorist state to exist along its borders.
