Unfortunately, it looks like a possible Turkish op is put on ice. Assad, Iran, and YPG forms a loose alliance against a possible Turkish military op and the USA and Russia agreed to support this. Russia changed the tune after the support of the USA. Russia offered to station the regime and Shia militias in Tal Rıfat and Manbij. Also according to Russia solution to Turkish problems is not a military op but returning control of the complete Turkish-Syrian border to the regime. According to the Russians if this is done YPG won't be a problem anymore. The current Turkish decision favors intensifying the drone campaign against YPG assets.
So no operation huh?
Erdogan backed out at the end as always
Shameful tbh

No final decision as of now. It is in the hands of Erdogan and he is known to act on a hunch so expect anything.

Russia asks for free passage from the straits and Turkish airspace in return for a green light for Turkish military operation.

Why are the Islamists begging? Is it like reverse Jizya, Islamists have to pay the christians for protection/permission first?

The simple answer is to move in and if the Russians want a fight then its war. And if its war Turkey sends her army towards Ukraine after sinking the entire Russian blacksea fleet.

the irony of course if the russians generally believed that Turkey would move in irrespective of what they want and that they would go to war with Russia if need be, the Russians wouldn't get in the way of Turkey. But because erdogan is seen as a weak and indecisive leader they all take the piss out of him.

If the YPG knew that Turkey would act irrespective of USA/Russian protection, they wouldn't be bold against Turkey.

But because erdogan acts like a coward and behaves like a coward he gets bullied easily not to act. Its been 10 years erdogan, how can you still have no plan and be completely indecisive.

So here we are, the islamist must pay his jizya to the christians each and every time he wants to protect his own interests and if he cannot pay well tough.

Also let it be a lesson to the Islamists, the Russians have inbedded themselves in syria and its been nothing but problems for Turkey, do not allow them to embed themselves in Ukraine, it will be more trouble for Turkey.

Its time to get serious and support Ukraine with real weapons, not just TB2. Its time to work to break Russia's legs.

It doesn't happen that way. The US will also threaten to put on sanctions, heat the Sea of Islands and East Med. and you can be %100 sure that PKK/YPG will escalate the situation on the complete Turkish border.
So there will be multiple fronts;
1) East of Euphrates front with the USA+YPG. USA will sanction Turkiye and help YPG with intelligence, weapons, and ammunition. The US will %100 provide stingers and Javelins. The US hints that for a time.
2) West of the Euphrates against the regime, Iranian Shia militia, some YPG forces, and Russian Airforce.
3) Greek provocations in the Sea of Islands and Eastern Med. The US is also behind this. Greece is %100 vassal state.
4) Haftar can also try to make a move when he sees everything is heating up.
5) Iraq front against the PKK/YPG and Shia militias.

You dived head first into the Syrian fiasco, why didn't you calculate these things before hand?

After calculating these things why did plan for and anticipate what could happen.

Why did you wait so many years for the americans and russians to place their bases in Syria before doing anything? Did you not think what happens once the big dogs place their bases in those lands?

Why did you wait so many years for the amercans to place their bases within Greece before doing anything?

Why are you barking about "we can come suddenly one night?" When clearly not only can you not, but you don't actually have any real long sighted plans.

That's the point the leadership is filled with morons, fools who have no clue about what they are doing.

Now you are doing nothing, are we anticipating what that means in the future? Are we waiting for more bases, more troops, a kurdistan to be created in syria? Then we will say we cannot do anything because they will create problems for us.

No, thats not how you run nation, you wouldnt even run a kebab house like this. Living moment to moment with no foresight. But then to talk about the great jizya paying islamist erdogan.

ak party outside of filling their own pockets have been a complete failure.

So now you didnt get permission and the enemies of Turkey know that erdogan will beg for permission first before moving. That means they know he's always going to ask for permission first, meaning the power has been handed to the enemy.

As it stands now the boiling frog approach is being taken against Turkey. Step by step the enemies surround Turkey, step by step they build up opposition forces and bases to Turkey.

A time will come when it will be too late too do anything, you will look back at these years and wonder why we did nothing. Russians are getting screwed in Ukraine, an opportunity for Turkey that may never come again and we wasting it away because of cowardice of leadership.

Too busy using Ukraine as a publicity show for erdogans son in law, instead of using it to the benefit of Turkish regional concerns.

What you wrote above is completely true but we are not talking about the past. If we start talking about the past this will become an infinite maze. What is done is done we can't change the reality.

That's the point, the past is showing us the future. do nothing now and more of the past will present itself in the future.

As far as Syria is concerned you smash the Russian controlled side, if its all out war then it has to be all out war. Once the Russian side is dealt with the americans are alone in a landlocked region, they will have to leave because nothing can be won there for them.

The shias and russians cannot stop Turkey in western Syria.

If the Russians escalate we escalate, if its war then its war. As long as Turkey can have some nuclear weapons from Pakistan, then we don't have to worry about being nuked.

But Russians cannot afford a war against Turkey right now, not after how bad their Ukrainian adventure is going. Any war over Syria Russians will get swept aside quickly, then it becomes about weather the Russians want the Turks completely destroy their black sea fleet?

Russians are no no position to make demands right now of Turkey.

Ditto hope politicians in the future take note of these mistakes and don't get into meddling in another man's war or betrayals like the peace process. Our FP bar some areas has been shambles driven by ummah sentiments from Europe, to Middle East, to Asia.

To be fair the Syria war was a very difficult situation for any government to handle. However we have been presented with opportunities which we haven't taken advantage of, like at the moment.

I am not hopeful looking at the current situation of Turkish politics. But I am confident in our intelligence service and military will take the right action.

Syria was never difficult, Turkey should have kept open relations with all sides until Turkey could have made a decisive difference. Instead they did they dumbest thing possible, they went all in with the Americans. But then again ak party and feto were one and the same thing back then. No wonder erdogan took us in a direction that benefited greater middle east.

Every time Turkey wanted to enter syria the americans threatened Turkey not to enter and erdogan backed down. As the years passed Russia seeing how cowardly erdogan behaved took the initiative and imbedded herself within syria, once Russia entered the fray the americans embedded themselves on the eastern side of the river.

So erdogan didnt have the balls or drive to enter when it was easy, now he's expecting to enter when Russia and America are there both against Turkey, both supporting the sides that are against Turkey.

Dumb politics, really dumb.

Had you kept all options open you could have gone in any direction you wanted and no one could have played you around, instead the americans dragged you out deep into the ocean with lies and deceptions only to let go of you. 10 years in, billions in costs, millions of refugees, thousands of terrorist attacks later, hundreds of soldiers dying and here we are begging the enemies to enter syria to solve the problem.

The syrian fiasco allowed the corrupt international media including Russia to demonise you over support for jihadis, as well as creating a false/fake narrative over the criminal pkk network, shown as heroes to the world.

Turkey supports and protect the most syrians on earth, instead she got to be portrayed as the evil entity of the region. absolute brainless clowns in charge of Turkiye.

USA and America are on the same page in syria. One day it will come out the deals they made together behind everyones backs in the region. When Turkey moved on al bab only to see both sides co-ordinate their actions against Turkey, it was clear that these boys have a separate dialogue with each other to everyone else involved in syria.
