Look, there's a way to do things ok? We live in the post-WW2 liberal world order. It might seem toothless, but it's really not. Annexing countries and changing borders is not the way. You gotta do it the right way.

You set up a local administration that has a parliament (optional). You keep a tight leash with regards to who enters through the doors of that parliament. You ensure the leadership's loyalty. Then you pay lip service to territorial integrity of the country. But you form solid bonds with Turkey economically, militarily, governmentally and everything in between, while you isolate from Syria. Seems familiar? It's because that's how US handles their PKK statelet in Syria.

This is how it's done. Going around 'annexing' territories just gets you Saddam'd. It would happen much quicker then you expect, too. Hell, even Iran doesn't even attempt that.

Not to mention the relentless international propaganda to legitimise the marxist terrorists. We have none of that going for Turkiye or where Turkiye operates. In fact the only channel we really got promoting the Turkish side is TRT world which doesnt really promote the Turkish side, it promotes islamism which actually makes us look even worse. Promote islamism to the middle east, dont promote it to the western audience, these people despise islam and will never come to terms with it.

In Syria and Libya the pro Turkish side should have representatives and their message and identity promoted to the world. In Syria outside of constantly hearing absolute loser so called islamist factions murdering each other for fun, i have no idea who if anyone is meant to lead the opposition to Assad.

Create the administration, let them allocate a leader with a clear goal and policy to go on international media tours to promote the agenda.

Between the Syrians in Turkey and Turkish controlled areas, we have about %40 of Syrian population under our authority. If we reconized the sovereignty of a 'true Syria' that governs these people, we would have a singular legitimate Syrian opposition to deal with, and not a hodge-podge of militant and often radical islamist groups. They'd have an army, a judiciary, an office that governs refugees. They would be able to govern secured territories, no matter how dysfunctionally. We could have avoided refugee limbo (will they leave etc). This train has passed with Assad's normalization but it was doable. They would have claim of entire Syria.

This war does not work with volunteers. This entity I speak of could have conscripted Syrians. We should have created a true infantry force from them, with payment and leave time for their families, an officer corps that would keep them from banditry.

All this is because Turkish state fears militia groups would turn against us. But situation we have in our hands is much worse than a revolt of militia groups which we could actually contain.

The warlord's only interest is how much dollars they can earn to buy businesses and citizenship in Turkey, that's why they lose land to even HTS, a terrorist group. The SNA doesn't even fight Assad. They just loot from the local+displaced population and each other. Abu Amsha has been in Turkey more times than actual combat the last few years.

Usa and Russia its like choosing between aids or cancer.

Turkiye is really stuck. The problem is the political will.

Cowardly bs. When interests and national security come first. Isnt it time that they start closing american bases in Turkiye.

A new system of relations between Turkiye and local councils is being established in 13 different regions in northern Syria.

The most prominent areas are Azaz, Jarabulus, Al-Bab, Tal Abyad and Ras Al-Ain. Ankara has appointed 7 coordination governors for the safe zones in northern Syria. Supergovernors will be appointed to manage relations with Turkiye. There was an ambiguity about the status and this is being clarified step by step but this last step seems to have brought grumblings in the north of Syria.

At the same time, diplomacy on the political ground seems to be incredibly mobilised. The parties to the issueare at the negotiation table.

The regime is negotiating with the QSD over the al-Bukamal offer. The US is also offering al-Bukamal to the regime in return for some conditions.
The third round of negotiations between Turkiye and Russia on the north of Aleppo continues.
The US also offering Aleppo as a carrot to Turkiye under some special conditions, which also includes American plans for regime change after the military operation.

Now clashes between Arabs and PKK in Manbij as well. What is TSK and FSA doing? Sleeping?

TSK's hands are tied by Erdogan, remember army kept pushing to do something, erdogan kept opposing it or cutting it short. The question should always be what is erdogan doing? He bullshitted the nation that giving him more power would allow Turkiye to respond and deal with problems more efficiently. We are yet to see this so called improvements.

The syrian fiasco should be considered treason by anyone who has a brain.

Just what the Kurds want so they can take over these lands.

Destroy the demographics.

The only reasons I can think of TSK not getting involved is that it would damage reputation even more with Arab groups in Syria if they are seen killing Arabs or no greenlight from US

Edit:

Third reason might be beyond 30km we don't care what happens

SDF is run by Kurds but the ranks are Arabs.

SDF biggest faction is the YPG.

Kurds basically run the organisation.
