If i haven't misheard in the past, Baykar was interested in engine business in the past but don't know what is the current stage. It doesn't make for TJ class but that would have been interesting if they have truly put Black Sea Shield in action and established a factory here. Still it would be hard for them to withdraw engineers or technicians from TEI - GE - Kale.I have been waiting for an engine since Havva Hanim moved to Baykar.

I don’t approve much to be used the limited sources of companies and also country as well. Some companies should focus on certain professional areas. We have three companies which produce engine from mini to giant. ( idealab, kale and tei)

Is in long term a Development of a AA Missile planned for Kaan which have similar Characteristics like the PL-17 ? The PL-17 is a long-range BVR Missile which aim to destroy Tanker, AWACS and MPA. The Rabge of the Missile is up to 400 km.
In my Opinion there is a need for such an Missile, since Greece and France signed a mutual Defence Pact and EU Article 42.7 is uncertainty Factor.

PL-17 size missile cannot be carried inside weapon bay. Also, it is only meant to arm Chinese flankers. LO platforms don't need them because they can get much closer.
It will be far better if such an Missile would fit in internal Weapons Bay, but if it's technicly archieveable it's another Question ? It's difficult even with LO Aircraft to come close to enemy Tanker, AWACS and MPA. Even with Gökhan BVR Missile, Kaan need to come close to the Missile max. Range. This mean the Escort can be capable to launch their BVR Missiles on Kaan.
Just a question pl-15 approximately same dimension like hisar rf (hisar rf slightly bigger ). With its total energy, can hisar rf reach 200 km air to air if it fired from high speed platform. We could strap Siper missiles to KAAN for such purpose. Heck, if developed accordingly, KAAN's current weapons bay's could pack 2 Siper block-2's with boosters for oodles of range. With that logic, Siper ürün-1 with 100 km's of range has roughly 300 km's of range when air launched.(excluding things like the size of NEZ for purposes of simplifying
You could also observe this on İHA-122 and İHA-230, which are air launched version of TRG-122 and TRG-230 artillery rockets.

Kaan doesn’t need such missile, Gökhan will be more than enough to do the job. Also don’t forget that when you shoot your missile, you have to maintain the lock all the way to the target, at least close enough for your missile to activate it’s tiny radar and lock the target by itself, typically when it is a few Nautical Miles from it.
And I think it would be pretty hard to consistently lock a plane at that range.

You could delegate that job to other platforms now. Its called network-centric warfare.
For Bora, Tayfun and Cenk it could be also possible to use an intelligent loitering Munition, like the Korean do by their KTSSM.
