Wouldn't it be better to convert Şimşek to such a cruise missile?

I think we need wide-range developments programs, for different flight/speed envelopes, for different mission profiles, almost tailored systems for different platforms, and high-volume production in times of crisis. Therefore, yes, Şimşek should also be a part of this, and one arm of the project is already shifting towards there (kamikaze drone). I am not an expert on this subject, we have many friends who can analyze cruise missiles in great depth, but in my humble opinion, the concept of low cost autonomous attack systems/mini cruise missiles (together with air-droppable drones and ews types) is a sea of water, an area where we have not yet fully explored its limits.

Making cruise missiles isn't same as making drones Even roketsan had hard times developing missiles.
It is very similar apart from the warhead section which will probably come directly from Roketsan.

It seems like SOM-J is experiencing a Link-16 embargo and Kement will replace Link-16.
SOM-J designed NATO and F-35 in mind so it used to have Link-16 for man-in-the-loop capability.

There is a critical point. Our Type 209 and 214 subs are have a less torpedo&sub-missile quantity.

İf I'm not wrong type-209's are have a 14 capacity and type-214's are 16.

İf we can small capsules for kuzgun's and launch kuzgun-tj from submarines it would be great suprise point strikes for enemy naval and logistical bases. Also it will advantage of high ammo capability for our diesel and aip subs.

So many tests. KTM-2 was delivered to 401st for flight tests more than 2 years ago.

KTM code refers to the prototype code of the Mass Equivalent Test Ammunition with special measurement systems for data collection during transport attached to the aircraft

Operational range≠max range, this is a loitering munition, keep that in mind
That range is considerably shorter than what was claimed before. Also it is pretty light, which is good for UAV's with smaller payload like TB2, but 6kg payload is pretty low to justify its use in anything bigger.

This is what Selçuk Bayraktar said:
The light cruise missile KEMANKES will be introduced for the first time at TEKNOFEST. It is being developed by BAYKAR. KEMENKES is a very light cruise missile with a range of several hundred kilometers that can be launched from Bayraktar TB3.

I mean sure, theoretically it's maximum range is around 300 kms but that would require it to not "loiter" as it were. And it is not a cruise missile. And, using a loitering ammunition with a warhead with 6kgs against naval targets sounds pretty meaningless.

As I said, I see this as a pretty good option for TB-2 to replace MAM-C but not that significant in terms of TB3 or any other UAV that can carry higher payloads.

Endurance 1 hour. Cruise speed 360km/h. Theoretical max range is 360 km. However, I do not think it would be used at such ranges.

It's clearly built specifically for TB2 and TB3 to give them more range as those can't carry most of the heavier longer range munitions we have
