The range of the Kagem is 300+km in ATA(Automatic Target Acquisition) mode. It is range is 50+km in man in the loop mode.
It has 360km/h cruise speed and 1-hour endurance. Terminal attack speed is over 720km/h
It has advanced AI-supported autopilot and AI-supported target acquisition system.
TB2 can carry 4 and Akıncı can carry an insane amount if a special launcher is developed to host multiple of them.
The only downside is the small warhead but it has an insane accuracy it can selectively hit certain parts of military hardware.
IMHO a 50 kg version with a 12kg warhead might make a difference on the battlefield.

TB2 LOS datalink range is up to 300km add another 100km and we will have 400km LOS datalink range for KAGEM loitering munition. That is without any satellite involved this is big. A TB2 operator sitting in a control station can get a live video feed from a target 400+km away via KAGEM (KAGEM to TB2, TB2 to control station).

Endurance - 1 Hour
Low speed - 360km/h
Range - 50+ km
🤣🤣🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️
i cant get it if endurance is 1 hour than with that lowest speed can reach 360km
Or they try to make it secret the range but still failed by giving endurance

Loitering speed is 360km? Oh, cruisespeed is 360km/h.

Weird they didn't choose to use TEI's TJ90. Coulda haul the MAM-L's payload further out then.
May they have used a smaller thrust engine to stay in the air longer? I want to believe that Kemankeş will be anti-radiation munition with passive-radar seeker.

A tweet by Arda Mevlütoğlu that made me look at this ammunition in a different way.

"A UAV carrying 2 / 4 MAMs will either use its own camera to detect these bombs or make the marking by an element other than the ground or the air. If the UAV does it itself, it cannot scan another sector with its camera this time."

"This means vulnerability especially against mobile targets or air defense systems. However, with such missiles/UAVs that also carry EO gimbals, you will have not 1 but 3 EO payloads in the air at once."

"You can scan a much larger sector (50+ radius circles with the UAV at the centre), attacking opportunity targets instantly, without engaging the UAV's precious, sensitive EO camera."

"These are the experiences of the internal security operations, Syria, Nagorno-Karabakh and Ukraine, it is very clear."

I hope they will study the possibilities of semi-disposable reconnasiance by switching warhead with extra fuel or swapping turbojet engine with a cheap and fuel efficent piston engine

And imagine this scenario with 6 tb3s taking off from Anadolu, carrying 48 kagem attacking in swarm formation

Some of those TB3's oughta carry some A2A capability, and yet we don't even have TB2's carrying Stingers around. :/

KEMANKEŞ is the culmination of an idea that UAVs can carry munitionized jet powered UAVs to have mini stand-off attack capabilities that came with ŞİMŞEK; Baykar's expertise in autonomy and finally products from smaller private companies that need to be supported such as IL170 TJ and the EO/IR system on KEMANKEŞ.

TUSAS also refined this idea in its own way with the 700 km ranged SÜPER ŞİMŞEK which has a better performance and is fit for offensive uses as it is stated to have some space for various seekers alongside a warhead. KEMANKEŞ will be the cheap micro cruise missile while SÜPER ŞİMŞEK will find more strategic uses against longer ranged systems on top of being cheaper than conventional cruise missiles.

End of story

Can we see a test fire of the Çakır family first to see the rate of development, please and thank you.
