Production of high purity thorium oxide from complex ores leach liquor

This paper investigates a method for separation and purification of thorium from leach liquors containing rare-earth elements (REE). Iron, which causes problems in the stage of thorium extracting, was first removed by using Adogen 464 solvent. Thorium was extracted with 30% D2EHPA-in kerosene with 1/3 organic/aqueous ratio and stoichiometry of the thorium-D2EHPA complex was calculated as 1:2.6 from slope analysis. After the extraction, LREE and HREE were scrubbed from the extracted organic with 0.25 M H2 SO4 and 6 M HCl, respectively. Thorium oxalate was precipitated by oxalic acid and calcined at 1,050 °C. It was, after calcination, determined that purity of thorium oxide is 99.23%, based on the ICP-OES analysis.

ROKETSAN announced in 2019 that it is working on Thorium Oxide-based ceramics with a melting temperature of 3000 degrees.


ROKETSAN announced in January 2021 that it had developed a combustion chamber for the screamjet engine. The article implied that this technology was developed for hypersonic cruise missiles. Therefore, one of the critical raw materials that Turkey can use in the related project on the way to develop hypersonic cruise missiles has become available from domestic sources.

PBP-003 is a plastic-bonded thermobaric explosive that contains more than 20% by weight metallic powder. The blast wave formed upon detonation creates more impulse and higher quasistatic pressure in indoor targets (caves, tunnels, bunkers etc.). Moreover, the additional amount of heat generated by the burning metallic powder increases the temperature of the flame and extends the total time duration of the flame which enhance the thermal effectiveness of the explosive on targets.
In the scope of TENDÜREK project, a thermobaric explosive (PBP-003) and a thermobaric variant of Mk-82 General Purpose Bomb (Mk-82-T) have been developed.

Used with HGK or KGK guidance kits it will be sooo effective!
Used with LGK it will hit moving targets as well. (Tanks, naval vessels)
Both Aksungur and Akinci will be capable of delivering it.
Look what a thermobaric bomb does to 1500ton USS McNulty!

The first national Hypersonic missile is expected to appear by the end of this decade. There are projects for sub-technologies of hypersonic missiles like combustion chambers ceramic bogeyman posted above and structural heat resistant advanced alloys/materials. Body heat shield materials, insulation materials for electronics etc. Supersonic flight and ramjet technology are pretty well established at this point. It is only a matter of time before products pop out.

when ı write on savtera forum that som B cannot hit moving targets on sea they kicked me out,so we make som J for sea targets plus for stealth fighters
