I think that Gezgin missile is likely to be equivalent to AGM 84 . The issue is Anka3 , KE and TF-X can’t fit it in the internal payload .

Just imagine the potential of our UGVs with special METE launchers.

This is unironically one the projects I've been waiting the most because it'll give our infantry some real flexibility.

1+ kms of range and only weighs 1.4 kgs, 1 soldier can easily carry a drone and several Mete and use the drone both to spot and attack. A small drone from a km away, good luck even seeing that thing.

Does internal bay matter if the munition is already very long range?

BTW Mete looks like a perfect missile. Now we need something larger to be an RPG alternative.

I think that our infantry is now able to take out Sniper and MG positions with minimal effort.
If i remember correctly, you can launch METE with a grenade launcher attached to your rifle.

Yeah, it can be launched from a grenade launcher. But the reason I mentioned a drone is because it would, in theory, have greater range, and it would be hard to spot the drone so far away, let alone protect yourself from Mete.

It would be really great if they could fit two or more onto a drone, it is light enough that there are even commercial drones that can carry two.

Roketsan changed the name Yatağan to Mete after Mete Gazoz won the Olympics in archery. Mete ( written as Mo-du in Chinese) was also the emperor of the Hunnic Confederation and the inventor of whistling arrows for battlefield communication.

Very much similar to SM-2 Block 3, with IR+RF seeker which is being developed by ASELSAN, we will probably see a variant of this missile being used by our BMD coupled with EİRS+YİR.

Wonder if current Siper has any capability against TBMs, we can test it with our current munitions...

You know what I just realized, Roketsan just created the perfect missile for Unreal Tournament missile launcher. We just need someone to put the idea in their head

I always wanted to see multi-barrel rocket launchers for infantry purposes become more widespread. M202 FLASH is the only one I know of.

Is Mete suited to be chambered and fired from the same barrel in relatively quick succession? Because that might potentially be a really good application. Maybe used for destroying multiple spread out targets in a burst.

Which assumes we somehow find a solution with the targeting etc.

I agree on this instance. But American military's obsession with 'modularity' and one-size-fits-all solutions is not a thing that should be emulated IMHO.

Actually, this 'modularity' does not always mean over-engineered.

In case of Himars, it turns out to be the best thing ever.

"one-size-fits-all solutions" in the military sense is something that you just can't attain.
However, modularity is an extremely important aspect of the modern warfare that one has to sufficiently employ, in order to fight respectable wars.
