Delving deeper into Tayfun Block 4:

As Roketsan is getting ready to introduce this missile in to TSK inventory this year, it is important to look at some facts and deduce some calculated guesstimates.
F
If we look at the various statements and foreign write ups on this missile called Tayfun Block 4 ;In reality it is very different to the other Tayfun blocks.
Some of the statements made by officials would only be realised if certain facts are there, as explained below.

Specs as per official and unofficial but logically deduced are:

1. 7200 kg total weight (others are approximately 2300kg)
2. 700 to 1000kg explosive head (others 450 to 500kg)
3. 10 m long
5. midcourse speed estimate 5+ to 10mach .
6. It is expected to impact target at 5 Mach.
7. It is expected to have a manoeuvrable re entry system (MARV)
8. Approximate range of missile is guessed at 1000 to 1500km
9. missile diameter is 938mm (others with 610mm)

First of all this missile, like any other ballistic missile, will lose 2/3rd of its total mass after it has burnt all its fuel. That leaves it with a ~2400kg mass.
In order to sustain hypersonic speeds at terminal phase and impact, as mentioned by officials, it needs to have a very high Ballistic Coefficient threshold. This mass and it’s dimensions is not conducive to sustaining hypersonic speeds due to low Ballistic Coefficient.

BC = M/CxA

M : Mass
C : Drag Coefficient
A : Cross sectional area of missile

For a terminal warhead to achieve or maintain a Mach 5 impact velocity as predicted by Officials, despite it’s mass reduction, its terminal BC must cross hypersonic performance threshold.
Unlike older ballistic missiles where the heavy spent rocket motor stays attached and adds unnecessary drag, the Tayfun Block-4, if is a MARV, ie a separating, manoeuvrable terminal warhead, should keep it’s terminal package streamlined, dense, and physically small, therefore preserving the high BC threshold required for a true Mach 5+ terminal strike.
A detached MARV should maintain a much higher ballistic coefficient as it slices through the dense lower atmosphere with minimal deceleration, ensuring that it hits the ground at maximum available hypersonic velocity.

it is also worth noting that for a MARV (Manoeuvrable Reentry Vehicle), the primary source of terminal deceleration is actually the induced drag from fin actuations used to steer or dodge air defences. If the MARV stays attached to the spent fuel tank section, it wouldn't even be able to manoeuvre perpendicular to the target effectively because the massive aerodynamic forces acting on the giant booster tail and the spent casing could violently tear the missile apart or cause it to tumble.

So Tayfun Block 4, although has been advertised heavily, has some niche secrets which are being kept under wraps for the time being. But it is making us to guesstimate What it can be.
If above guesstimates are true, this is one unstoppable missile that can carry 1000kg of destructive explosives in our inventory, like in Gazap, and cause havoc in enemy territory. Alternatively it can hit sea targets at hypersonic speeds causing unimaginable devastation due to, not only with explosive force but with the Kinetic Energy it carries..
i hope it will be Anti electronic jamming , MARV etc . Since it will have range of around 1500km and its in radius of mutiple of our opponents and enemies , it should be produced in mass , alot of them as backbone of our BM arsenal . İ wonder where will or have Turkiye tested it since it must requere at least 1000 km space !
can it tested from İğneada to east of Türkiye ?

I mean u could test it in pakistan, somalia, perhaps maybe spain if ties got that close between the nations, maybe qatar towards the indian ocean but the most viable one is prob flying a missile and a launch vehicle to somalia and test it towards the indian ocean there.

especially if they want to go for the hail mary shot and test out the full range capabilities at the first launch attempt it also could be better for the secrecy of the event and unlike almost every other tayfun launch it would be harder for the launch to be leaked by kids watching it from their balcony.

This Is A Drill

We need to test our missiles but we don't have that long stretch of sovereign piece of land that we can test our missiles safely without bearing the risk of the missile falling on some habitat killing people or damaging property, right. This issue can be resolved by taking the risk and insuring any party harmed by a missile test accident by many times the cost of the damage. This policy can even be extended to neighboring countries.

This is how it can work: When a missile test is planned the population living inside the possible fall regions get warned that the test will be made in a certain timeframe. The population will be asked to take shelter or leave the area for the given period of time which would be like 10 minutes each time. The missiles do not carry explosives so the damage would be from the fall of mass and some spill of fuel if any.

Same drill applies to space launch rockets launched towards east from advantageous locations inside Türkiye which would be highland locations in regions west of bay of Antalya.

This can solve many of the range problems and also serve other purposes.

In the age of wars populations need to be prepared to take missile attacks coming towards them and this application will serve as a drill for people to be prepared for missile attacks. This is like an injection of a vaccine to prepare the body for worse.

It will be like a lottery for people, if a missile falls on their property they will be compensated like 20 times the damage cost. People living inside possible fall zones can be financially compensated when there is no damage happening.

With the technology being developed for reusable rockets for space launch the fall zones can be kept to a minimum as the rockets are steerable and can even land back to its launch pad. Military rockets are smaller and fewer.

Up to 1600 km is possible within Türkiye and much more is possible when you cooperate with neighboring countries.

China did something similar.

Somali Space Port is for larger rockets as it has like 25-35 % payload advantage and zero fall damage risk.

What a fucking load of bullshit, asking for risking people's lives so freely; then again, this is coming from the guy who thinks sending pilot up with engines and ejection seats that are not truly testing is okay.

The fact that you call getting a rocket fall on your home "lottery" tells me you're an utter fucking moron and a cunt. I wonder how you would feel if a missile dropped on your house and destroyed it.

W.r.t sinking carriers: You can't just sink them. Old carriers have been abused to hell in tests it takes like 3 days of continued bombardment. It doesn't really matter. If you can hit then hard even once you are looking at multiple year repair likely. That is more than enough
