Yeah, I know them. They came from Afghanistan after a massacre right?

As far as I know their region lies on both Afghan and Pakistan, just like Pasthun.

We have many Hazara refuges in Bogor, West Java

True. Like most countries of the world most Pakistani ethnic groups overlap with neighbours. Baloch, Pakhtuns, Punjabi, Kashmiri etc

are either of them any good?

I used to watch mma back in the pride days, but since the UFC took over everything that mattered i have no idea whose good or not outside of it.

Yep. The region of Afghanistan is often called hazarajat where hazara people have a strong presence and have lived there since the days of the Mongols. In 1893, post the Durand line agreement and the second anglo-afghan war, the iron king abdur Rehman decided to expand his holdings to incorporate Kafiristan aka a region of Nuristan province in modern day Afghanistan.
Turkistan, the land between Xinjiang and central Asia and hazarajat which was a large region in central modern day Afghanistan. The region while claimed by Afghanistan was largely outside central control and heavy handedness and tribute treaties maintained peace as pashtun rulers and empire holders used alliances and military options to control this mountainous area however by the dawning of the 19th century, there was great ethnic awareness among them and many of them became even more ethnically free. Post the line, the iron king decided to create proper governance and authority into these aforementioned regions and for this he led several raids into hazarajat. The first fight happened in 1888 but was crushed by the entire as he sent his armies to deal with the revolt. They were brutal and the local governor's decided to put Shia hazara against Sunni hazara to create a divide and rule. The Afghan rulers looted villages, executed tribal leaders and imposed taxes for revenue and confiscated better and stable lands for afghans. This didn't create any exodus. Not yet
The second uprising began in 1892 when some Afghan soldiers assaulted the wife of a cheftain of the tribe. The tribes got together and attacked the garrison killing the perpetrators as was the custom of the tribes. This incited a fire of rebellion that burned hazarajat. Iron king was in no mood and sent about 200,000 men composed of soldiers, mounted cavalry and about 100-120k armed soldiers and mujahideen since a call for jihad against Shia had also been announced. They came to hazarajat and what ensued was such brutality that it actually got coverage in international press. The center was oruzgan in modern day Afghanistan and literally historians have written that children women and old folks were sold in bazars of Kandahar, and Kabul. As a warning to future rebels, mounted heads were constructed. This caused displacement but the third is where it gets really nasty. You see to accommodate the expense of war and as was custom, they imposed extreme taxation on the hazaras. Like literally lands were confiscated if you couldn't pay and you could very well be sold or your women taken if you couldn't pay. This was so huge and so large that they nearly took the entire hazarajat back but they couldn't hold out since there was a shortage of foods and the military blowback was extremely brutal. So brutal that the governor of the chief commissioner province aka Baluchistan wrote to the British high command that abdur Rehman wants to wipe out hazarajat from the face of the earth and many are coming to the province as refugees with horror stories. The excesses were so brutal that it displaced an entire community and they shifted to various regions of Iran, Pakistan and Indonesia and many other regions. There is a famous painting of 40 girls jumping down the hill to escape Afghan soldiers. It's based in a true story of all the village girls literally running and jumping down the hill as Afghan soldiers were coming for them. Hundred of decapitated heads were sent to Kabul but the end result was that Kabul got control of s region that it didn't have control over and while the Afghan rulers did decrease heavy hands, they still remain one of the most oppressed communities.

The uprisings began their existence in Pakistan and they have played an important role in Pakistan however as you know the Shia Sunni clash impacted them alot.
All this spills into sport.

Of course it does and it is both exciting and beautiful. From hockey matches, to cricket, to football, to MMA, anywhere where Pakistan and India meets the rivalry awakens. It can't be stopped and it will remain for a very long time and I like these rivalries. It tells you the level of committment and mental health and competitiveness of the team.

Mashallah. What can any Pakistani patriot say?

Now here is the annoying and sad part. While there are 1,000s on 1,000s of lazy, fat, ugly things parked leaching off the off the government in such entities like PIA, PS causing the national exchequer billions in losses poor guys like Mujtaba struggle to put food on the table.

Here is a fact. In Pakistan's lesser developed regions, particularly on the highlands around Quetta there is enormous sporting talent waiting to explode on the world scene. Maybe a Maradona, a Mohammed Ali, the next Roger Federer.

The high plataeu region, harsh climate [freezing cold in winter/scorching hot in summer], thinner air, eographic location that was histories conflict zone has left behind a genetic pool with latent warrior/sport potential. I include the ethnic Mongol Hazara's in this who are gifted football players. Short height, low centre of gravity, powerfull legs, huge explosive speed are ingredients of football talent. Maradona exhibited that.

But all that talent is wasted at the moment. The Government needs to set up a fund that scouts and the sponsors talent. Far me far greater pride would be gleaned when Pakistan sports a world class football team rather than parading nuclear missile on the parade ground.

In the modern world wars have become less common. Nations now compete o the sport, economic, political and media arenas. Pakistan could make a mark on the world of boxing. Amir khan already did but as you know he is a British national. Tennis, Football and those Kabbadi players should be pushed to play Rugby instead of wasting time on a little known sport. The polo teams from north should be competing in international equestrian sports.

Personally I hate cricket. It has sucked the life out of all other sports.

Even the females are talented

Imran actually did alot in 2013-2018 for sports in KPK. Sports festival are great and there were serious talent scouting and talent grooming, atleast higher than before. After he came to central governments, he can't be blamed since it's been one thing after the other. So there is still hope.
Yup, Hazara girl of Pakistan also won gold medal Taekwondo in Asian Games 2018, Jakarta-Palembang

Oh yes and hazara have played a major role in Pakistan community all across. Most notable being general Musa khan. He was involved in major conflicts during the 1960s like Kutch conflict and 65 conflict and chawinda battle. He was also governor of Baluchistan under Zia and benazir.

There are others of course. Many claim descent directly from Genghis khan.

For example with the merger of FATA and the talent scouting some serious talent from FATA is coming up most notable being Maria toorpkazy and Shaheen Shah afridi. He bowled well today. Stuck to good line and length when everybody else was bowling rubbish. He is considered as one of our future pacers. Tall dude, bowls fast 140+ and swings it both ways with the new ball.
