Algeria is for the first time mentioned publicly by a very senior Israeli official as a source of "concern" for his country.

Israeli Prime Minister of Foreign Affairs Yaïr Lapid pays historic visit to Morocco eight months after signing of the Abrahamic Accords, providing for the restoration of diplomatic relations between the two countries and the recognition by the United States of Moroccan sovereignty over Western Sahara.

The two sides agreed during the visit to open respective embassies. In the meantime, an Israeli liaison office is inaugurated in Rabat.

Coming in a context of tension between Algeria and Morocco and Algeria's offensive to block the admission of Israel as an observer member of the African Union, the visit provided an opportunity to attack head-on to
Algeria.

Thursday, at the end of his visit to Morocco, Yaïr Lapid told the press to have raised with his Moroccan counterpart their "concerns about the role played by Algeria in the region, its rapprochement with Iran and the campaign that it led against the admission of Israel as an observer member of the African Union ”.

These serious remarks are made on Moroccan soil two weeks after the king of Morocco's “outstretched hand” to the Algerian president for the rapprochement of the opening of the border between the two countries.

In his speech on the occasion of the feast of the throne, on July 31, Mohamed VI proposed to "work in concert" with Algeria and "without conditions" for the establishment of bilateral relations based on trust, dialogue and good neighborliness.

Tensions between Algeria and Morocco
Algeria's response came through the official review of the ANP which recalled Morocco's repeated attacks against Algeria, then through the voice of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune who criticized Morocco for to have done nothing after a serious slippage in its diplomacy.

"A Moroccan diplomat made serious statements, following which we summoned our ambassador to Rabat for consultation, and advised to go further, but no reaction came from Morocco", replied Mr. Tebboune on the 8th. August during a meeting with the press.

On July 14, Morocco's representative to the United Nations seriously attacked the integrity of Algerian territory by distributing a note to representatives of member countries of the Non-Aligned movement, calling for the self-determination of the "valiant Kabyle people".

Two days later, the world press disclosed a resounding espionage scandal involving Morocco. The country's services have used Israeli software called Pegasus to spy on thousands of the phones of opponents, critical journalists and foreign officials. With 6,000 targeted phones, some of which belong to senior military and political officials, Algeria is the country most affected by this vast espionage operation.

Regarding the admission of Israel to the African Union as an observer member, the Algerian embassy in Addis Ababa signed on August 3 with six other foreign diplomatic representations (Egypt, Tunisia, Comoros Islands, Djibouti, Libya and Mauritania) a note disapproving of the decision of the President of the AU Commission, Moussa Fati.

On August 7, the latter granted their request to put the issue on the agenda of the next session of the Executive Council of the pan-African body.

Fundamental difference between Morocco a feudal royal regime who betrayed every just cause, and Algeria, a country born from the War of Independence in which more than one million martyrs were sacrificed for freedom.
I do not want to diminish morrocans muslims struglle and resistance but eventually they succumbed to the colonial powers eventually, you persisted no matter price to be paid and it was horendous. Probably that carved sense for justice and self awareness for algierians more then for anybody else in region.
I only wish if you could ditch french language for good from educational system if you already did not and hopefully tunisia and lybia to follow it.

Thank you for your kind words.

"I do not want to diminish Morrocan Muslims struggle and resistance but eventually they succumbed to the colonial powers eventually," The Moroccan freedom movement of Abdelkrim Khattabi who had fought the Spanish and the French vigorously in the 1920s and who was leading toward a democratic republic, was then sabotaged and defeated not only by the French, but also by the royal regime currently ruling over Morocco.

"I only wish if you could ditch French language for good from educational system" Algeria has two national/official languages, Amazigh (the native language of Algeria) and Arabic. French is still used in the business arena, but is slowly being replaced by English. I speak French fluently, but English even better.

We need to strengthen alliance with progressive Muslim neighbors like Turkey and Bosnia, why not. Countries who'll never trade their sovereignty and national security for anything.

Morocco became a protecrate and retained some of its sovereigty while algeria came under colonial rule. The insurgency of abdelkarim khattabi can be interpreded as a precursor of the algerian resistance. I have to also mention that while morocco was a protectrate, we still helped the algerians during the war with both training, food, medicine and weapons.

Forget Bosnia as some relevant subject and country that could have its own policy, we are on ropes and mercy of foreign powers to maintain country integrity and security without new war.
Altough in some bussiness area amd educational fields we can offer someting also in defence industry but our natural place for cooperating in that field with arab world serbia already took due connections and legacy of former yugoslavia but if there is will it can be changed in relativelly short time.

The Abdelkarim Khattabi revolution would had led to a Democratic Republic in Morocco, thing that the Alaoui sultans of Morocco didn't want. Therefore they betrayed Khattabi and remained a French protectorate until they were granted by the French a limited independence in 1956.

I need to make further research about Bosnia and Herzegovina.
BTW, the Algerian freedom fighters had strong ties with Marechal Tito during our war of independence against France.

The golden days of revolutions. Che Guevara had his office in Algiers, and Nelson Mandela had his first Military training with us in 1961. Mandela later said "Algeria made of me a man".

"morocco was a protectrate, we still helped the algerians during the war with both training, food, medicine and weapons." The Algerian freedom fighters who were embattling the French army would never receive "training" from a submissive protectorate of France, when France was itself the enemy Algeria was fighting. After independence from France, Algeria endured three wars against Morocco, a neighbor considered today as hostile and predatory. Please stop harping obsessively on a Moroccan-Algerian relationship that from the beginning never existed.

Alright. I understand now that you are unfortanely very ignorant. Seems like you just follow your own desire and agenda. You make alot of claims, but no proof. No need to discuss anymore. You can search it up if you want to educate yourself, its well known... very well known infact. To say that a moroccan algerian relationship have never existed is such a weird claim to hear😂 You should educate yourself on history before making claims. I dont claim i know alot, in fact i know little but every claim i have made is from sources. Dima maghrib and dima djazair🇲🇦🇩🇿

You follow your own desires and make lies and propaganda. You dont even put sources up. You not sincere unfortanely, if you was you would atleast check up what you write, and then atleast add the sources so the rest can see. In the beginning i tought you was sincere and gave you benefit of the doubt. I will answer your claims for final time so people dont fall for your propaganda. Nowdays morocco and algeria have had relations since even before the idrisid dynasty in 788 CE. We have a long history. I know you love to talk about algerians and their resistance, and to mention your anti-morocco propaganda. Even after the independence of morocco, king Mohammed V provided training, equipment to the Fln forces , from year 1956. Please do your homework sir. Be open minded, educate yourself. Let the ego aside and lets put our differences aside, and always try to speak with Haq/truth. Like i said, dimaaa 🇲🇦🇩🇿.

Israel largely has Morocco to thank for its victory over its Arab enemies in the 1967 Six Day War, according to revelations by a former Israeli military intelligence chief.

In 1965, King Hassan ll passed recordings to Israel of a key meeting between Arab leaders held to discuss whether they were prepared for war against Israel. Read link below :

my previous post was deleted due implicit insulting language and i will try to reformulate my opinion with no offence in my wording.
So, In this particular political clash my support goes to Algeria because Morroco is firmly under western political umbrella and they are under strong influence from israel and as such can not be trusted for long term political projections and close cooperation with regional states.

Credit and respect were it is shown. It is great to see such efforts when we are witnessing global climate changes and hazards which that brings to the people lives. I hope that there is space and opportunity for both Algiere and Morroco to work on similar projects together, like in atlas mountains if geography and needs allow it.

Moroccan is the number one exporter of phosphate in the world, yet this wealth doesn't reflect on the wellbeing of Moroccan citizens, as reflected by the UN Human Development Index (HDI) of Morocco (121), worse than Palestine (West Bank) 115 and Libya 105. Morocco for several decades has never been able to improve its HDI, one of the worst in Africa. If Morocco as a regime is doing relatively well economically (GDP 120 $B and Foreign Debt around 100 $B), why are the 35 Million Moroccans way behind in Education, Health and wages compared to their neighbors. The reality is that the Moroccan economy is controlled mostly by French firms, and if you find a hotel in Marrakech for example, the owner is French and the Moroccan is only a waiter.

In addition, the map shown in the display above
download.png
is incorrect. The Western Sahara remains in dispute according to the United Nations and is claimed by its native inhabitants, the Sahrawis.

Below is the current desperate status of Berber children in the Rif region of Morocco.

No doubt that you know more specifics then me and have better insight in their affairs but i just gave credit were it should be given. As much i respect your country i also respect Morroco in sense that they have right on their own way and internal politics , of coUrse i will keep my privilige to disagree with what i consider wrong but without overstepping my outsider boundaires. I am sure that you would appreciate same attitude towards your country from some foreign guy.
