Kinda but in return for retiring 8 Gabya and 4 Yavuz frigates, 6 Burak corvettes, 4 Ay class submarines, more or less half of our FAC fleet (other than Kılıç I-II FACs) and Osmangazi LST. In 2030s some Preveze subs could be goner too.

Nevertheless still impressive, but it could be more. :devilish:

Next 20 maybe.
Why 20? All istifs will be delivered by 2029 or so same with reis class The first TF2000 is going to be in service around 2030/31 the others will follow in private shipyards most likely. The first milden will de deliver in the 2030/35 maybe just one and the aircraft carrier will be definitely be atleast in sea trials by 35 only the second lhd is a question

As part of IDEF 2025, the Secretariat of Defence Industries and TAİS Shipyards signed a landmark contract for the procurement of four National Coast Guard Ships, with the participation of Prof. Dr. Haluk Görgün. 🇹🇷🚢

📜 These indigenously built vessels will operate across Türkiye’s exclusive economic zones, coastal waters, and high seas—ensuring the protection of national sovereignty and maritime interests through a broad spectrum of missions.

🔹 Enforcement of sovereignty rights
🔹 Prevention of illicit maritime activity
🔹 Deterrence of threats
🔹 Search and rescue operations
🔹 Continuous surveillance and patrol duties
🔹 Protection of marine resources
🔹 Humanitarian aid during natural disasters
🔹 Robust operational capabilities under challenging sea states

⚓ With the first delivery scheduled within 26 months, this initiative marks a critical step toward enhancing Türkiye’s maritime security and operational deterrence.

As part of IDEF 2025, a new contract covering the 7th to 10th vessels of the Offshore Patrol Vessel (OPV) Project was signed between the Secretariat of Defence Industries and ASFAT, with the participation of Prof. Dr. Haluk Görgün. 🇹🇷⚓

🌊 Designed to safeguard Türkiye’s maritime interests and ensure swift, reliable operations in regional waters, these four additional OPVs will further reinforce the capabilities of the Turkish Naval Forces.

🔹 Intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance
🔹 Protection of Exclusive Economic Zones
🔹 Search and rescue; counter-terrorism and anti-piracy
🔹 Maritime control and special operations
🔹 Amphibious deployment in crisis response
🔹 Execution of non-combat operations

⚙️ The first two vessels are scheduled for delivery in 34 months, followed by the remaining two in 36 months, marking a significant step in renewing and expanding Türkiye’s blue-water naval strength.

🌐 This initiative also reinforces the local defence ecosystem by combining low-risk design with high strategic impact.

7th to 10th vessels in 36 months damn, that is fast. We will have 9 OPVs (1 is sold to Romania) by mid-2028. Also, there is news that starting from the 3rd OPV, weapons load will be increased with 8x MIDLAS VLS.
