Türkiye has a vision for a nuclear-powered submarine that will be on the agenda in the 2040s. On the other hand, sooner or later, it will need an electromagnetic launch system for the aircraft carrier which construction has already begun. Going into a more speculative area, the Turkish navy may develop a need for heavy-class ASW frigates over joint program. Within the framework of the Trump administration's vision to support the pace of naval modernization and capacity building with allied countries, if Turkiye becomes one of the partner countries, we could receive accelerating support for some national programs within a framework of mutual benefit.

But considering our standing in the Senate and House I think the outlook for that kind of cooperation is bleak. I very much doubt that we'd be building ships for our own Navy at all. And building to strengthen our adversaries who may en up using it against us doesn't sit well with me.

Especially considering where US is going. I'd say we are in need of every Vessel leaving those shipyards, especially considering how TN has been stretching its capabilities due to insufficient vessels.
